The Good Things in Life

Isolation-induced thought-rants/daydreams.

For example: I'm scanning a shipment of toys in the stockroom at my job. I open one box to find that it contains a few dozen small toys that will take a while to scan all of, so I put it aside for the moment to go through some of the bigger boxes. After a doing that for a while, I re-notice the box of all those small toys sitting there and say in my head, in an accidental combination of two popular phrases:

"Well okay, it's time to face the Piper".

...

"...in a no-holds-barred fight to the finish! It's a battle between good and evil!"

I then spent the next 5 minutes or so actively imagining an insanely dramatic fight between myself and, apparently, the Pied Piper of Hamlin. It ended with him accidentally cutting the rope he was holding onto while trying to swing at me with a knife and plummeting fifty stories off the highest tower of a castle to his death. Some imaginary audience actually applauded somewhere.

Then, it was back to scanning toys.
