I'm torn on this episode.

Silver Sable as Manfredi's daughter kind of works for me. Sable as a whiny Daddy's girl doesn't. Still, she's a badass with some cool toys, so it's not like they completely missed the mark.

Hammerhead actually seemed threatening for the course of one episode! Thumbs up. His relationship with Sable made for some funny scenes as well.

Spider-Man teaming with Rhino was awesome. The ultimate odd couple.

Liz and Pete however make a rather bland couple. "Oh, you missed Valentine's Day. Darn. It's ok though. I'm not mad, I'm never mad. I'm being a ridiculously awesome girlfriend so that when you break my heart it'll give you something to feel guilty and mopey about." Lame. I thought they'd do better with this relationship.

Poor Black Cat, gets that cool action sequence at the beginning and get shoved out by Hammerhead.

Doc Ock with the groupies made me laugh.

At first I thought the item for auction was going to be the symbiote or the tablet of immortality.

I agree on Liz, though.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series, the best Spider-Man cartoon yet. I'm currently on Season Two, Episode Five. Which episode was the most recent one (was it eight)?

Also, this may not be true but Wikipedia is saying that a Season 1 box set will be coming this Summer, for all of you who also hate the Volumes DVDs they're doing instead.

I don't know I kinda like it. What were you expecting?

Also, is it me or is Kingsly Black in this series? Then again they turned the other Hobgoblin asian.

Also, this is the coolest Hammerhead ever.

Em no Un Dastnd Yu.

I've read it out loud.
I've read it backwards.
I've read it out loud backwards
I've mirrored it.
I've put it into google (Did you mean: Em no Un Destnd Yu )
I've put it in babelfish and searched the web and it worked.

and now I feel like an idiot.

I loved both of those. And Spidey complaining that Rhino tricked him with his own move.

I wish it had been one of them. From the second they announced what it really was I knew exactly what would happen to it at the end of the episode.

Except I didn't. Which was a good twist. I love this show.

She was a way more fleshed out character before she became 'The Girlfriend'. Now she's so bland.

Indubitably.

I believe so.

A real relationship. Where the girlfriend gets mad because you planned nothing for Valentine's Day then didn't even show up. Instead they're making her into little miss perfect so the breakup will be all the more wangst-worthy.

If they make Ned Lee into the Hobgoblin I will throw a ****ing fit.

So, clearly we don't have to worry about Gwen dying. It's Liz we have to watch out for.

Why? Harry was the Green Goblin before Norman in this series. Wasn't Ned unmasked before Kingsly anyway ? Didn'tKingsly test the formula on Ned before he used it on himself? Also Tombstone is the Big Man instead of Foswel.

I don't mind mixing things up, but Ned Leeds never should have been a Hobgoblin in the first place.

Spideykicksbutt has a whole section about how badly they screwed up the Hobgoblin in the comics. No reason to repeat that particular mistake in the cartoon.

True. Though i'd be ok with Kingsly framing Lee.

I can't believe it took me a second viewing to realize that they've clearly set up the twin brother angle for the Hobgoblin storyline. Roderick at the meeting was confidant and calm. 'Roderick' at the pickup was a whiny ***** who ditched his jacket. Then Roderick shows up at the end still wearing his jacket and all of a sudden he's the cool, confident guy he was back in the meeting. I must be mildly retarded to have missed it the first time through.

They even introduced Menkin, the Osborn lackey that helps Roderick try to take over Osborn Industries after Osborn dies fighting Spider-Man. But since Hobby isn't set to appear this season they must be setting it up for next season. Which is awesome.

I guess that what Kingsly ment about ''Bait and switch''.

Yeah. He sent his brother out with the fake while he escaped with the real one. Hammerhead, not knowing there was a brother, assumes that Kingsley removed the drive from the box before handing to Sable.

****, his brother even says "W-We paid for this fair and sq..." before she pulls a gun on him. Seriously, I must be slow in the head.

Two new episodes this week! Yay!

Gangland is easily the best of them (Spidey vs. Doc Ock vs. Silvermane vs. Tombstone to opera music equals win!) but the Enforcers episode is worth it just for Ox singing in the elevator!

Also, I'd love to say that Bart Hamilton is the new Green Goblin...except Mr. Hamilton hasn't shown up ever. Ah well.

Yeah great episodes and good to see two of them. I hope that keeps or at least for a little while. Good to see GG back and loved the adding of opera music to that fight scene.

Might be Harry since it seems he's drinking the goblin formula again. And yeah i loved both episodes but gangland was the best .... Silvermane went too easy though. It seems Liz's bro will be Molten Man soon too.

Loved both episodes.

Flash has some great character development in both episodes that lead me to believe he'll be more than just the resident bully from here on out. Hell, even Sally Avril got a couple of nice moments. There's only so much you can do with Gwen dating Harry, but not really being interested in him. So I hope they don't drag that out too long. Could not care about the MJ and Mark's relationship any less than I do, but the "'Ride along' Ride along" gave me a good laugh and he'll be out of the picture soon enough.

Harry seems to be a fairly obvious red herring for the returned Goblin. It was Norman that had the little talk with Hammerhead one episode before GG gave him the means to make his play for power. And the bit about people taking on the personality of the mask they wear was a good line, but a tad obvious as far as hints go. Unless they're completely faking me out. Which I wouldn't put past them at this point.

The Liz Allen thing still has a few bugs to be worked out. They finally let her act like a real person, but to get there Peter had to act like a total douche in Gangland. Being inattentive to her and staring at Gwen the whole night is one thing, but ignoring her as she went in for the kiss and apologizing to Harry's date instead of his own when he left was completely unbelievable. Peter's not that big of jerkass. No one is. Not really caring about your significant other is understandable, not being able to put up even the most meager of pretenses in front of all of your mutual friends isn't. Thankfully, this subplot will be over with soon.

Loved the New Enforcers. Loved them. I've always liked that they actually made Shocker a dangerous guy in this show, but I was never sure about putting an Enforcer behind the mask until now. The team is finally a legitimate threat to the webhead. Hope they'll be back soon.

The fight in Gangland was great. The music was great. JJ screaming at his wife about stroking out was great. It's too bad we won't be seeing Silvio for a while. I would have liked to see him and Tombstone at each other's throats for a bit before the big throw down, but with such a short season I suppose that's not really doable. But I can't wait to for Pete to run into the Green Goblin again. Should be good.

But my favorite part is Captain Stacey. His continued development as mentor figure/unknown confidant for Pete's double life has been great. It's too bad I'm convinced they're going to kill him before the end of the season.

I don't know ..... to me it seems like Harry is the goblin but Norman is pulling the strings. Could be wrong of course and i kinda like that both of Pete's best friends became his worst enemies but that's just me. In a related note.... Do you think Liz and Harry will get together?

Green Goblin was great last season, but he just didn't have the menacing feel that he has in the comics. He never really hurt anyone. Probably because they wanted Harry to be able to return to being Harry afterwards. I think with Norman in the suit the Green Goblin is about to become a whole lot nastier and more personally threatening to our friendly neighborhood etc.

They might pair the spares.

Makes sense because of their history in the comics.

I love the extended cast of this show, especially with all of the recent character development for Flash this season. Poor Hobie will never get a word in though.

I'm going to go with Norman because of his speech.

That's the only thing that pisses me off. I know he's supposed to be hapless but *******. All I can say is thank God Aunt May isn't in a life or death situation, and Peter gets offered a deal with the devil as the only way to save her.

Same here, I liked how they called Fancy Dan Ricochet. And Ox humming the Spider-Man theme song was priceless.

JJJ was gold. "Holy crap! I just said that to get out of there!"

I hope they don't kill him any time soon, but I can't shake the feeling.
