I planned on checking there and eBay once I'm ready to start reading it.

Although I wouldn't count on Vol.3 coming out any time soon. I read the description and that's the current arc they're doing now and they can't even get #4 out.

I got my Eternals Omnibus yesterday as well as a little guilty pleasure - Spawn Vol. 1. It brings back memories, that's for sure.

The Eternals Omnibus is 20 issues and costs $75 cover. I got it from Amazon so I got it for quite a bit cheaper, but that still seems like a lot. But it's beautifully packaged and the colors are vibrant. Nice book.

Spawn Vol. 1. It brings back memories, that's for sure.

You should really pick up Sam & Twitch and Hellspawn trades that just came out.

Both are written by Bendis and some of his best work. Only Daredevil beats these and not by much.

1. how many of you buy the regular issues as they come out only to purchase the TPB when it finally comes out?

2. Do you sell off your singles on Ebay and put that amount towards the TPB?

2a. OR do you just keep both?

2b. OR do you generally wait till the TPB comes out and forego the singles?

I buy the single issues as they come out and then but the TPB when released. But since I only buy Punisher MAX and Ultimate Universe TPBs...its not that bad.

I normally either trash my single issues after an arc or 2......or I check with my LCS to see if there's any issues or arcs he looking to buy back at like 25-50 cents an issue. I can't bothered with collecting single issues. Too much clutter.

I only buy trades and hardcovers.

I download single and am going to sell all the ones I have and put them towards the trade verison.

I buy singles... Any incomplete series from my list probaby is filled in by the individual issues (especially Y:The Last Man, Lucifer, and Fables).

I also Download... and buy trades and backissues...

Basically I want to have as strong a base in comics as possible.

1. I do that with series that I really like. New Avengers, Ultimate books, etc.

2. I don't keep the issues if I get the TPB or HC. And yes, the issues go up on eBay to pay for the TPB.

2b. Depends. Some stuff I don't bother with the issues but I still check them out to see how they are.

They had Swamp Thing: The Curse at my library today. I picked it up, and looked inside. God, I hate old art.

I didn't get it out, but I did get Kevin Smith's Daredevil arc. I'll read it tonight.

I also bought Wildcats Vol. 1: Street Smart and Vol. 2: Vicious Circles last weekend.

I didn't get it out, but I did get Kevin Smith's Daredevil arc. I'll read it tonight.

I also bought Wildcats Vol. 1: Street Smart and Vol. 2: Vicious Circles last weekend.

Casey's Wildcats is so damn good. I just read his first X-Men arc and I can't help but wonder why his style didn't really work outside of Wildstorm...

Well, since that bastard E shut down my thread (FASCIST PIG!) I guess I have to talk about them here.

"Punisher MAX Vol. 2: Kitchen Irish" and "Punisher MAX Vol. 3: Mother Russia"-
I want to marry Punisher MAX and make sweet, sweet love to it. Then, I wanna make little gun-toting babies with it. I really, truly love it. I'd say it's by far the most enjoyable thing I got from my Monday comic trip.

"Kitchen Irish" is at the top of my list of favorite arcs so far. The plot is so deceptively simple. It's really just the classic "People competing for the dead old man's money" plot that's been done many, many times. But the way that we learn about this is brilliantly complicated. I swear to god, Garth Ennis may be the best person at unique characterizations in the business. Practically everyone in "Kitchen Irish" is either completely lovable, completely hatable, or some combination of both. Finn Cooley is devilishly evil and just a great visual. I could stop laughing when he made his big "I'm sick of being somebody else's nigger" speech and then turned around to see eight huge black guys glaring at him. Maginty, "the baddest nigger ever came outta Dublin town" is just so twisted and so original. I also loved Brenda of the Westies and Frank's new partners. It's great to see a little bit of perspective on the situations going on in Ireland from someone who actually lives there. The moment when Frank bites off Finn Cooley's face is the first moment in a long time to actually make me yell out "OH GOD!!". I predicted the surprise ending of "Kitchen Irish" about 10 or 15 pages before it happened, but it was still priceless.

"Mother Russia" was also excellent. Garth Ennis writes a totally badass version of Nick Fury. "I'm going to have one more drink. Then I'm going to try to **** every hooker in New York before some ********er bans that, too." How can you not love a character who says something like that? I loved the interaction between Frank and the little girl. It turns out that the Punisher does have a softer side. Frank's escape inside of the missile was unbelievable. How does Ennis even think of this stuff? I also loved the soldiers' reactions when the general asks them to take in Frank.

I honestly can't say enough about this book. I'm gonna be going through withdrawal untill I get the next trade. I want to tell everyone I know to go pick this up. It's just that good.

As for Swamp Thing, I still haven't finished it. I got 3 issues in and just got extremely bored with it. I don't know what it is, I was just disappointed by the first few issues and now I don't have much desire to read the rest. It just doesn't seem very interesting or groundbreaking. This may be the first Moore book that disappoints me.
