Goldeneye Rogue Agent came out for Gamecube as well, I have it for that system

It's my favorite

To be honest, I've only ever played it a few times in my friend's house and it wasn't blatantly offensive. The storyline was ludicrous though, and the attempt at teh futuristicallising the game with 'regen force fields' or whatever around the character offended me enough to not want to play it anymore. Ian Fleming was probably spinning in his grave when this game was released.

I liked the abilities the eye offered you.

See through objects, a force shield around you, regain health, and to hack security protocols seemed to me no different than the gadgets bond is allowed to carry on his person.

It's a game that once you get into it, the fun is endless. It lacks in a good multiplayer system though. Few games allow people to take on the computer together on a level, and this is one of them. They need more co-op modes in these type of games.

Hacking security protocols is fine, X-ray vision is pushing it, force-fields and health regenerators are completely unacceptable. Even Die Another Day doesn't have gadgets as ludicrous as this (and I'm counting the invisible car).

Personally, I hope they continue with the third-person approach. I think first-person Bond games are sacrilege, because Bond does so much more than just shoot people in the films (in fact, if you examine them, he usually only directly kills a handful of people with a gun, at the very most). To me, a first-person shooter Bond game is like a first-person shooter Indiana Jones game or a FPS Batman game. You're missing out on combat, proper stealth as well as being able to see the character. It feels a lot more real to me when I can actually see Pierce Brosnan swaggering around like the Irish legend he is, as opposed to just looking at his hand holding a gun.

:(

Crap.

See, I'm fine with this. EoN worked because of the multitude of gadgets that that era's Bond used. With Casino Royale and Quantam of Solace, he doesn't use gadgets. He kicks *** with his fists and guns. FPS is the way to go for the more realistic 21st century Bond.

:noway:

He kicks *** with his fists, he uses his environment to kick *** (I really want to be able to drown someone in a sink) and he chases people with par-****ing-kour!

FPS: Gun, run, punch

3rd Person: James Bond
