Actors existing in the same universe as their characters, or even actors playing more than one character in the same universe, is not an uncommon occurrence. K and J can share the same universe as Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith without the universe exploding.
I definitely don't' think the creators intended the series to be canon to the live action side of things, but again, more power to you if you can make it work flawlessly. I'm doing something similar with Green Lantern TAS, Beware The Batman and Young Justice.

This is sufficient evidence that the series is a sequel to the first film. There's a flashback to the first film but in animated form, Vincent D'Onofrio reprises his role and plays relatives of his character.

The only evidence otherwise, that being the in-universe film, I have disproven. To quote someone I know who has actually seen the series, "I know there was meta joke with a film but it was so different than what happened in-universe that I didn't feel like mentioning it".

If the in-universe film is clearly not the same as the film we've seen in real life, and the events of that film are shown to literally happen in the reality of the series, it stands to reason that they're the same universe. Further, there's a comic set after the first film where K gets de-neuralyzed, which fits perfectly between the film and series.

It's also not a stretch that K could get neuralyzed again either.

I'm looking forward to your thread if you start one!

Ozzie (Mark Holton) gets killed by the Leprechaun (Linden Porco) in every timeline. They both reprise the roles but the fan film short is irreconcilable with Leprechaun Returns unfortunately.

Agent K has at least 5 more years, you say? Hm... 1997 + 5 = 2002, meaning he would be retired in 2002 if he doesn't go into management... :p

Isn't there an easter egg that links The Howling to Joe Dante's Piranha as well?

I didn't watch The Flash but has DCEU been basically canonically erased from existence and replaced with DCU?

From what I heard, it seems DCEU may have been merged with the Clooneyverse? So, in Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2, Clooney Batman exists in their world rather than Affleck Batman? Or do theh take place prior to Flash?

I do recall James Gunn saying DCU is the direct result of Flash's time travel, so either Flash changed the timeline off-screen again and replaced the Clooney-DCEU mix, or created a branch timeline, I guess

Nope.

Earth-1 (Pre-Flashpoint)
Man of Steel -> The Flash (Start)

Earth-1 (Flashpoint)
The Flash (Alternate Timeline)

Earth-1 (Post-Flashpoint)
The Flash (End)
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Blue Beetle

Earth-??
Creature Commandos S1
Superman
Peacemaker S2

The post-Flash reality is either an altered DCEU or a new separate timeline completely. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Blue Beetle either take place in an altered DCEU timeline or the timeline Barry left at the start of the film (the main DCEU), as the DCEU wiki considers it.

His statements are ambiguous. Maybe The Flash created the DCEU, maybe he didn't. I personally lean on not because the connection isn't well-established. Also makes it a more clean reboot and allows the DCEU to crossover in, I don't know, a decade.

I found this regarding the timeline thing. At some point, they wanted to reveal DCEU still existed separately from Post-Flashpoint in the Flash Post-Credits apparently.

But it seems the plan changed.

I should watch the DCEU movies I haven't watched.

I like to think that some of the alternate timelines in the DCEU allow non-canon entries like Justice League and Aquaman: King of Atlantis to happen. Aquaman: King of Atlantis is weird, by the way. Aquaman literally holds the Earth together at one point, so... uh... I see why it's a questionable sequel. It could be Nightmare timeline or Pre-Flashpoint though.

If you want, you can also throw in the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earth tie-in comic as Earth-N52 was originally supposed to be the DCEU (Link). Also, an artist for Crisis on Infinite Earths animated trilogy suggested that Peacemaker in that was "100%" James Gunn's version, so you could argue he ended up in the DCAMU's multiverse while Eagly ended up in Marvel's Earth-199999 due to something after Mortal Kombat 1.

Lights Out has a crossover character with Shazam! and Sandberg has confirmed that it's the same universe.

Since they create a new universe at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths, I guess you could say that that's the DCU and the reason it has DCEU elements is because DCEU Peacemaker was absorbed into it, but... that'd be a little weird.
