I was thinking about people in space, and I had a question.

In a perfect vacuum, assuming there's a miracle reason why explosive decompression wouldn't occur, would you freeze to death? There's no particles to transfer the heat to, so wouldn't you stay at the same temperature?

Also, can chemical reactions take place in a Bose-Einstein condensate? What are the properties of that state of matter?

If anyone can provide answers to these questions or recommend a good science book, I'd appreciate it.

All these questions make Grimace a hungry fellow.

People in space can't talk, so no answers, but I'll try

Nope. To be warm, one must heat the air around them, which is why people have hair, to trap the heated air around them. No air to heat, no temperture to generate, and you freeze

Fancy words there I see.

Reading up on it, I have no idea how that works.

I tried for the second one, but genetics is more my thing, not Space theoretical stuff

I have a Question. If my grandma falls and no one is around does she make a sound?

yes, sound is the vibration of particle's moving at a certain frequency allowing it to be heard, it does not matter if someone hears it or not.....or she'd yell for help

But like they say how can sound exist if no one hears it?

sound IS movement, someone being there to hear it does not make it sound it makes it HEARD

Yes but sound = noise and something you hear

the sensation produced by stimulation of the organs of hearing by vibrations transmitted through the air or other medium.

unless you hear it. it is just a vibration and exists yes but not as sound. In order to be sound one must hear it.

for some reason i knew you were going to do that, no not like soundwave the transformer, more like these ))))) <--those are soundwaves

just for fun:
( ( ( ( ( ( --> )))))))

^^ look it's the doppler effect!

i know it was an obvious joke but i didn't someone would of done it so i figured i would step up. That's what heroes do. *poses like superman*
