Since I don't know if we can get round 2 I decided to do one my self. Unlike other games I say one only one Round a month (everyone is happy then as their is not too many and we get more)

Credit to this game go to Willverine.

I might post my picks later anyway ...

Ultimates Super Human

incase anyone has not read it
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimates
scoll down to Super Human (Ultimates #1-6)

Rules/Difficulties:

1.) This has to be a fresh casting, with no actors who have previously played any of the roles. Voice talents from any animated series' are an exception. If you feel any character would be better represented using CGI, that is fine.

2.) You may use any actor, living or dead, as long as they are not covered in rule #1.

3.) Provide a brief yet comprehensive explanation of your choices, especially in the case of lesser-known actors.

4.) There is no extra credit, but feel free to add producers, directors or any other crew that may give your version of the story more life.

5.) You don't have to cover every single minor character in the film, but your cast must include:

Giant-Man
Wasp
Hulk/Bruce Banner
Iron Man
Captain America
Thor
General Nick Fury
Betty Ross

Currently working on mine.

Can we have an additional rule? NO Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury. Use your imagination rather than just trying to celeb-match the face of the character (though resemblance is certainly A factor, it's not the ONLY one.)

 I was thinking everyone would put him

Re: Dreamcasting - Round Two

how is that lame?:sure:
Because there's no imagination to it.

Also, Millar claims to have written and designed him as Samuel Jackson, so casting him likewise is a complete twit-brained move. That's like saying let's hire Marlon Brando to play Marlon Brando in the biopic "Marlon Brando" based on the unofficial biography of Marlon Brando.

I also happen to think that Jackson brings too much 'cool posturing' to play Nick Fury, but that's neither here nor there.

;) Not if it's Nick Fury written by Bendis. Then Sammy Jackson doesn't bring enough 'cool posturing'.

Didn't they already agree on the best casting choices during the Ultimates arc you're talking about?

Those were the characters talking (and Mark Millar through them). Doesn't necessarily mean anything other than further emphasizing the celebrity/media-saturated world that Millar is developing in the Ultimates' world.

They did a pretty damn good job picking fitting actors, though.

Ultimate Peter Parker is cooler than Nick Fury written by Bendis.

I generally agreed with Johnny Depp as Tony Stark but the rest were more archetype matches than anything McConnaughey as Pym, Buscemi as Banner. Regardless, I doubt Millar took that casting call as seriously as the characters did.

Remember, he's writing THEIR suggestions which may or may not be his own. Nobody really knew that Pym was an abusive insecure man at the time they called out McConnaughey's name, and I doubt Fury gave much thought to casting Brad Pitt as Cap, save for the ostentatious star power and the fact that Brad Pitt would actually try to put in the effort to play him.

Anyway, I'm not here to debate other people's ideas of who should play who, or what Millar thinks or whether Fury & Co. were on the money. I was just hoping that everyone would accept a request that we refrain from casting Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury.

...

Oh, and JonnyFreeze's casting ideas are brilliant.

hm.... I'm thinking, Aaron Eckhart as Captain America, but other than that, I'm not sure yet.

:D Except maybe Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

for the record i am actually a huge fan of DMX, so im deadly serious about him playing nick fury lol, partly because i think its a shame his acting career is pretty much over due to him not being able to resist the temptations of crack. such a wasted talent

Cool.

Don't forget to finish the rest of the cast. This is a game, so you kind of have to follow the rules SSJmole (and Willverine before him) established. And that means complete cast, not just DMX Fury Agent of CRACK.

Re: Dreamcasting - Round Two

yeah im still working on it. im torn between Fabio and HHH for the part of Thor. i think HHH has the edge because of his "and when did you see my dick **** face?" line in blade trinity, whereas fabio is pretty good at acting on the cover of a book im not so sure about how he could hold out in a movie

Re: Dreamcasting - Round Two

Want to know something funny? Hitch didn't originally draw Fury as Samuel L Jackson.

He drew him as Avery Brooks.

Re: Dreamcasting - Round Two
