I'm doing this on mobile rn and formatting for levels takes aaaaages (if I don't want to completely lag out the timeline while editing) so I'll just add games to the detailed instead of doing actual levels (though I have done DK Arcade)

Next steps should be adding the Circuits to Punch-Out NES, adding the 2nd Quest to SMB, and then doing the rest of the Punch-Out games (I think you should rearrange Arcade and Arm Wrestling to be before the 2 Wii games since I think Super Punch-Out's Wiiware description implies Mac went under a new identity with the blond hair after Punch-Out Wii meaning black haired little Mac can't appear after Punch-Out Wii so the true Punch-Out order is NES, Arcade, Arm Wrestling, Doc Louis, Wii, Super

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, "Iron Mike: Mike Tyson"
Figured out a workaround with Mike's age not lining up with real life the April 1st date is only shown on the Newspaper after beating super macho man. The Mike Tyson fight happens after that. Maybe it's set a few months later and after his birthday which would make his age lineup. I have to make sure this works with when the arcade game is set because I remember that having a date too

Okay it's July 30th for Arcade so here's the timeline:

March: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out Minor and Major Circuits
April 1st: the newspaper for Little Mac's win is published
Somewhere between June 30th and July 30th: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out The Dream Fight
July 30th: Punch-Out Arcade
???: Arm Wrestling
???: Doc Louis Punch-Out
???: Punch-Out Wii
???: Super Punch-Out

I'm out for dinner with family, today didn't go quite as planned but I should be able to at least get half an hour in, idk though. The setbacks have really demotivated me today and I don't want to get burnt out

Theoretically you could add the toad houses to Mario 3s level list, not necessary but I think it would make it more complete I think since Mario most likely went to them canonically

Also I checked Touch n Go again and I think it does have to be moved again because the ending of it has you rescue Baby Luigi which doesn't make sense if you have it before Yoshi's Island. It definitely either has to be after Yoshi's Island Final boss and before it's ending or after the New Island final boss and before it's ending. I'd assume Yoshi's Island because New Island wasn't even thought of yet when Touch n Go came out

What's the issue with rescuing Baby Luigi? If it's an extension of the Yoshi's Island intro, it implies Kamek just attacks the storks for a little longer since they initially rescue the babies. I don't see a contradiction there

Because Yoshi gets both of the babies by the end of that game but the intro of Yoshi's Island shows the first time they saw Baby Mario and the first kidnapping by Kamek

Also Touch n Go shows the exact moment the stork is attacked again and Baby Mario lands on a blue Yoshi and not a Green Yoshi, so it really can't be a continuation of the intro imo

Nevermind the Yoshi color is randomized but still. The intro for Yoshi's Island also shows Kamek keeping Baby Luigi at the castle when he sends the Toadies out to capture Baby Mario, so Luigi wouldn't be kept out in the open like he is in Touch n Go

So currently to-do list (pre SMW)

Fix Touch & Go
Move the Mike Tyson fight
Add the 2nd quest for SMB1
Do the level by level list for the rest of the Punch-Out games, DK Jr and Donkey Kong 3. And finally add the E reader levels for the SMB 3 remake on GBA

Honestly one could say the SMB3 remake on GBA is actually a prequel to the NES version. Since the NES version is a play but the GBA version removes the play elements iirc, which could imply it happens before the play which is based on its events

Btw Mario Kart World established that the mirror tracks in Mario Kart games are canon, they take place inside the Peach mural on Peach's castle (this also implies that's where Bowser was keeping peach during Mario 64 since she comes out of the mural at the end of that game)
So I guess once you get to the Mario Kart series after listing the regular courses on the timeline then you have to add the mirror courses with [Mirror World] as a dimension indicator (wonder if it's the same mirror world from DKC Returns you unlock at the end of the golden banana temple or whatever)

If the Mirror World in DKCR works the same way as in MK, I'll have them as the same citation; otherwise I'll just do [Mirror World 1] and [Mirror World 2] (1 being whichever comes first chronologically - which I imagine is MK but I'd have to double check that)

Also apologies if I'm being a little too hands on with the timeline right now, I think things will go smoother once it progresses passed the 90s games since everything after that is pretty much simpler timeline and content wise aside from the few games that do need to be moved passed that that I've already mentioned in the past like Superstar Saga and NSMBU

It's a little intense, but I'd rather be able to have everything laid out in more recent messages than have to keep going back to my to-do list

Does Star Fox count as canon? Seeing as the whole Tricky the Triceratops thing. Or is the one from Star Fox count as a separate character from the one in Diddy Kong Racing? I know originally Star Fox Adventures/Dinosaur Planet started as a Timber the Tiger spinoff of DKR and somehow Tricky survived through all the restructuring that went through that game. But I'm not sure if it counts as the same Tricky still due to the difference in design

I'll have to look into it, my knowledge of Starfox doesn't go much further than the characters in Smash

If you include every Starfox game (even though I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 3 separate timelines, SNES, 64 and Zero) you would also have to bring in Starlink Battle for Atlas

Since the Nintendo port of that game featured the Star Fox characters in a mission

Well if it's three completely separate timelines for each game, I don't see why I'd even debate it's canonicity, when there is no canon to begin with

Well tricky only appears in the 64 timeline. Which contains Star Fox 64, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Command

The 3 Star Fox timelines aren't only 3 games here they are:

Star Fox Mission File > Star Fox SNES > Star Fox 2

Star Fox 64/64 3D > Farewell Beloved Falco manga > Adventures > Assault > Command

Star Fox Guard > Star Fox Zero > Starlink Battle For Atlas
