I suppose… I'll think about it, since it's very similar to characters like Link, Inkling Girl, PAC-Man, etc being in Mario Kart but with no actual connection being made. It's different with Banjo-Kazooie since the manual heavily implies a shared universe, and I get it's different here because it's from the same racing game as the (main) BJ connection, but it's still a character reappearing from a previous IP. Again, I'll have to look into it, if the manual implies anything about a valid connection I'll probably include it

I can't actually find any mention of Tricky in the manual? Is it a DS-exclusive thing, since if it is then it'd be the same thing as other Nintendo characters appearing in MK games

So the manual doesn't mention them by name but they are apparently referred to as Tricky the Triceratops… I'm not really sure what to do about this, I don't think it's necessarily implying a connection

Well it's a little different because Tricky appeared in DKR first and then became a Star Fox character. Star Fox Adventures was originally going to be a DKR spinoff about Timber that's why tricky was in it

I thought you were saying Tricky was in 64, not just the 64 timeline. That's my bad. I guess I could include it… again, I'll think it over

I feel the design differences between DKR and SFA Tricky are too great for them to be considered the same character, I feel they just wanted to keep it in because it was initially going to be a DKR spin-off

Fair. I think his hide(? Scales? Whatever you call dinosaur skin) could have changed color as he got older because some animals do that I think but yeah the design is pretty different I can understand not counting it
