Meh.

Spider-Man is confronted by the Kingpin. The Kingpin essentially reveals that he knows about the Knights due to the fact that Matt Murdock works for him, that Murdock is his attorney. He allows Spider-Man to go free, but assures him that the rest of the Knights better give up trying to take the Kingpin down or he'll do some serious damage. The Kingpin blackmails Spider-Man with his ownership of the Spider-Man copyright, blah. Blah. Blah.

Daredevil catches wind of the attack on Midtown High and knows that he has put Spider-Man in peril. He collects Dr. Strange from his "meditation" period to see what happened with Spider-Man, the Kingpin, and the renegade Moon Knight. The whole of the issue is Daredevil and Strange catching up with what we already read...

Then, there is a confrontation between all of the Knights on the rooftop nearest to Murdock's law firm. Spider-Man bumbles along and punches out Daredevil, pegging him as the traitor in the group that sold everyone out to the Kingpin. After a short debate, the "human lie detector" Daredevil rounds on Iron Fist. End.

Hell with Bagley leaving, we need another writer that'll turn this title into something worth reading again. I mean this is just pure garbage... No direction, no means of being entertained, and everything is just being fluffed to the point where it is annoying. Please Marvel Comics PIMP Ultimate Spider-Man. Christ.

2.5/5

I thought everyone was well played. Fisk was more evil than ever and the whole "getting Fury involved is bad for business" was great. Daredevil was exciting (unfortunately he was mischaracterized throughout up until this point) but the whole cliche "he killed my father" and that final panel was awesome.

I'm going to agree with MWoF on this one. While not quite a 5/5, I really like this arc. It's a solid story and feels like the end of one long, extended arc with Learning Curve, Cats & Kings, Warriors and the 2nd Annual. I hope Death of a Goblin (Whenever we get it) has the same feeling.

I'm not giving the whole arc a good rating. The set up was forced and sloppy. The product's nice at this point but the execution sucks.

Wait...that's the Ultimate Knights arc? That's it? 3 issues of nothing. Nothing. Lots of pannels and (not so) pretty pictures. Bagley and Bendis can both go to hell. They both suck.

This was one of the worst arcs the book's ever seen. It's down their with the Ultimate Clone Saga. Well...not really, but it was terrible. Not only did the writing, pacing and storyline suck, but he wasted ANOTHER Ultimate character. Now Iron Fist, my favorite 616 character, is a traitor. Good. Thanks Bendis. I'm done with this book. I don't care about Immonen; he can't save this piece of ****.

There are two more issues to go.

Edit: My bad, there's one more issue.

Well then, we agree on the issue.

I meant "up until now". As TwilightEL said, there's still one more issue.

It seems like Bendis doesn't even try... I mean, it is THAT obvious, too. Like, he writes something and has it all mapped out - he's got a beginning and an end... Bendis is stumped, though, at joining these two things together and doesn't care which mess he has to create to actually stick them together. If he cared half as much about this title as he used to, there'd be some relevance to them in Peter's life... But noooooo. We're done with all that - let's just set records and write the title into a ditch.

I've officially given up on this man.

Caught the book at the store while waiting for a friend to get her frappucino.

Not impressed.

Not bad mind you.....but not impressed. I'm glad I'm not giving this book any money right now. Call me when Immonen starts.

Wait, maybe I missed something. . . Why did Daredevil original recruit everyone to kill Fisk? He seems to contradict that this issue. Was there an explanation somewhere?

Daredevil has said that he brought them all together to concentrate all of their powers to stop the Kingpin... Essentially, it's so that they don't step over one another's toes.

No. And this is what I'm talking about. He's totally a different character (reckless and inconsiderate) than in this issue. He claimed he wanted to kill Fisk and he wanted a teenage boy to be involved in that murder and now he's all about justice. The build up to this issue was ridiculous and sucked. This has been the only good issue of the arc.

I kind of like the arc, although there really needs to be some sort of explanation for Daredevil or else it's a complete failure.

This issue was good (not the arc, just the issue) Bendis can write these street level characters great he just ran out of steam. I'm still wondering why Strange is on this team, he really doesnt fit in with the rest. The Kingpin was great and I wish they beat the **** out of him.

Fot those of you who remember when I said I dropped this, I get it through subscription and have been too lazy to cancel it
