House of M series discussion (spoilers)

Actually, Johnny was part of some crazy sapien gladiator Gundam fight club with Tony Stark. Also, it was implied that they're weren't killed in the original accident. Emma Frost (in the main series) said she was counseling "the Richards boy" or something whose parents were dead astronauts. How pathetic is it that I knew that from memory?

Bendis lover.

How come the Fantastic Four weren't invited to the initial meeting? First of all, Reed Richards is probably the best non-evil scientist on the planet. Second of all, a being of unfathomable power and no self control who it would be emotionally devastating to kill, but who you must for the sake of the universe? I'm sure the Fantastic Four would have no idea what that's like. And then Wanda ****s them over even though they weren't even there. Real nice, Maximoff.
Because this was a situation that didn't need the F4?

But they were going to resort to killing her. How could getting a second opinion from someone who would understand the situation not help? At the very least they could've called Reed before running off to put her down.
Because this wasn't something that needed to involve the F4. Wanda is an Avengers/X-Men character. Therefor, there's no need to bring the F4 into something that doesn't involve them. If let's say the F4 were going to do the same with Pyscho Man, they're not gonna exactly call Cyclops and his team in the middle of the night to get their opinion.

But he's Psycho Man, not a beloved member of the team, and Cyclops isn't a freakishly intelligent scientist who has experience with too-powerful people. It's like their list of options is this:

1. Ask Xavier.
2. Ask Dr. Strange.
3. Kill her.
4. Ask someone else for help.

But you're forgeting the most important thing of all.

Scarlet Witch is magic. Reed is science.

And Dr. Strange was somewhere I don't remember right now.

Dr. Strange was present. And at the very least, he could put her into a coma like he did with Franklin (I don't understand why the assembled superheroes didn't even think of this), even if he couldn't think of a single thing. And in the MU, the line between magic and science is frequently crossed.

Well, it's been a while, forgot about Strange. But even then, you should know that Xavier was already trying to help her, so he can't just step in. And even then, maybe the coma wouldn't have worked with her. Whose to say? If Xavier had trouble with her, I'm pretty sure anyone else would have as well. This isn't a decision he'd make on his own, but hey.

And besides, this just isn't wasn't a part of the story that needed the F4 to be involved. Okay, so Reed is a super genius guy. But you're using him as a crutch. "He's super smart so get him to solve our problem!" That's just bad storytelling and a dues ex option right there.

I'm not saying he should've been able to instantly solve the problem and end the story, I'm saying that a reason should've been given why he wasn't consulted at all.

Because this wasn't a story to have him be involved! That's why! It's that simple. You say why he wasn't asked here, and then others will do the same for other stories. Not everyone is involved in every part of other peoples lives like that.

I blame Bendis for this conversation.

If you met Bendis at Philly like the rest of us you'd be singing a different tune. You'd be posting "Bendis could hit it." instead.

Even I fell for the bull****. He mentioned his Ultimate Amazing Friends idea and I groaned......and about 10 seconds later I couldn't wait to read it.
