Ultimate Apocalypse's Horsemen

I disagree. This isn't 616 Cable we're talking about here. This is crazy, kidnapping, Wolverine Cable. Your Superman/Darkseid analogy doesn't really fit.

You make a valid point, but I'm not totally convinced that Cable is future Wolverine... how did he grow 8 inches? Literally, how? Wolverine may have a slow aging rate with the healing factor, but he's still a fully grown man. Not only that, but the adamantium coating his bones would make growth impossible.

Hmm... a mechanized Wolverine. Code Name: Cable. Real Name: Albert?

That's just silly, besides Xavier is in the future at the moment, so if that were so Apocalypse wouldn't exist in the present timeline.

Anyway there is an easier to do Ultimate Apocalypse, instead of being a 5000 Egyptian mutant, he is very powerful mutant born in modern times who thinks he is a ancient Egyptian god. He has convinced other mutants of this and they have formed a cult around him. Apocalypse has used his mental powers to seek others who may be worthy, like Sinister.

Well we don't know what's going to happen in the next couple issues. Bum-bum-bum.

You're right, that would be easier... and just as easy still if it's Xavier's alternate personality that believes it...?

Onslaught was born out of not only evil pesona from Xavier, but from Magneto as well. That makes more sense then an Xavier/Apocalypse type thing.

The not-so-saint-like Ultimate Xavier can't have his own dark side without being defiled by another's?

Why, that's pointless, why would Xavier's dark side be a 5000 year old Egyptian mutant? Wouldn't be just an evil looking version of Xavier? That makes more sense.

Frankly I think my idea makes more sense and would be more entertaining, I would rather Apocalypse be his own villain, rather than part of Xavier's psyche, that sounds boring and silly.

Correction, why would Xavier's dark side think he's a 5,000 year old Egyptian mutant? And Xavier can use his telepathy to make anyone see him however he wants to be seen... just like he did to Sinister. Well, he wasn't really there, but he gave form to his voice.

I missed a huge chunk of UXM in the middle--why are you assuming that Ultimate Apocalypse will be exactly like 616 Apocalypse? He isn't necessarily the experimenting, world-conquering, ancient Egyptian shapeshifter of the main Marvel universe, and if Sinister said he was--well, Sinister is a raving lunatic. Xavier's dark side could easily be an evil version of Xavier.

You might be onto something with that. I know he failed to kill himself before when Apocalypse told him to choke himself, but why try again all these months later?
Well he probably tried with his bare hands and when you do that you'll pass out before dying, and after his first attempt he'd be put on suicide watch for a while

There have already inconsistent hieghts for him, Also Cable has had many cybernetic implants, that could be a half *** attempt at explaining that, als I would need to check but is Ult. Cable taller? Or are you just thinking of 616 Cable

Exaclty, your assuming too much about Ult. Apocalypse's motives. All we know is that Sinister was suppose to kill a number of mutants by piercing their hearts to bring him into the world, nothing else

Though I do like how you choose the horseman, referring to biblical texts. It would be cool if they did that

We don't know a lot about Ultimate Apocalypse, but why question hasn't been answered, why would Xavier's dark side pretend be a being called apocalypse? That's just silly.

He's the one who gave his teams names like Cyclops and Beast, and maybe the term has a special meaning for him.

Such as? Seriously names like Beast and cyclops were most code names so they could identfiy themselves as mutants and be proud of it, Xavier's darkside being named Apocalypse wouldn't make sense and why would it look that, shouldn't it look like an evil version of Xavier instead?

But you haven't the question of why. Why would Xavier's darkside take the form of a being called Apocalypse and look like that?

The thing is, we don't actually know much about Xavier's past. What if went to Israel or Egypt or something, and helped a mutant named Eh Sabah Nur. Eh Sabah Nur later dies, yet leaves a lingering presence within Xavier's mind... Xavier's split with Magneto along with his mental stress causes him to have problems... a darker side emerges, resembling that of the mutant he failed to save...

No sir, I don't like it, I would rather Apocalypse be a seperate villain then part of Xavier.

Um... the exact same reason? :?

Doesn't work, why would Xavier's ID call it self Apocalypse? Beast looks like a beast, cyclops shoots lasers out of his eyes, those codenames make sense on certain level. Frankly only an insane person would call themsleves Apocalypse and while Xavier has a dark side, I doubt he is insane.

The possible answer to that reminds me of a scene from the movie "Donnie Darko." Donnie is talking to someone who isn't really there, wearing a demonic rabbit costume. Donnie asks "why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit?" Then the mysterious man replies, in a quiet and eerie voice "why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"

Because, afterall, mythical cyclopses were prone to shooting lasers out of their eyes... lol. Hey, alot of code/nicknames don't really have anything to do with the individual's power.

So, we have Apocalypse, who Sinister claims is a being which doesn't yet have access to this world, and requires the death of a certain number of mutants to be brought into this dimension.

We also have the Shadow King, an entity which seems to only have access to this world via Storm.

And we have the Legacy Project, which in 616, was tied to both Apocalypse and Cable. And along with the death of Mr. Sinister, we have all this happening at once. Hum....

Now, if I were going to do it, I'd have a slow build-up to Apocalypse. Before he takes center stage, certain things need to be done. The idea would be that he's supposed to bring about the Apocalypse and usher in a new age, by triggering a war between mutants and humans. But before he enters the scene, there have to be four signs of the Apocalypse, ushered in by his Horsemen. real Helter Skelter **** (because, really, doesn't Sinister fit as Charlie Manson?).

The first would be Cable (Wolverine), as War, who is manipulated into believing Xavier is the source of pain in his future. The idea is that the absence of Professor X will cause a complete collapse in human and mutant relations, and the snowball effect will be all-out war. We've already seen the greater part of this play out.

Gambit could be Death, the new horseman chosen by Apocalypse after Sinister failed him. This could wrap up the Morlocks plot, as he descends into the sewers and slaughters them all, providing Apocalypse with the quota of mutant casualties he needs to enter this world.

The Legacy Project (maybe by proxy of Beast? Dark Beast? either voluntarily or involuntarily) or the Legacy Virus the Project is trying to cure is Pestilence. It either cripples non-mutants by murdering them indiscriminately (as Apocalypse's original version of the virus did), or thins out the herd of mutants, forcing them to desperation.

I'm not sure about Famine. But I like the idea that all or some of the horsemen are completely unaware of the fact that they're serving Apocalypse's agenda.

Then again, I also like my Age of Apocalypse/Ultimate 2099 version. I guess I'm just too awesome for my own good.

I think you might be onto something there. Maybe Xavier has a compulsive need to protect mutants, feeling it's his responsibility to save them.
But that's alot of stress, alot of weight to put on one man... and that's why the Apocalypse persona slowly emerges, believing in protecting one's self... survival of the fittest. Xavier being crippled might have been a major factor aswell.

But I like the idea that all or some of the horsemen are completely unaware of the fact that they're serving Apocalypse's agenda.

That would be interesting.
