So, for the second time around and since Halloween is coming, have you ever had anything seemingly supernatural happen to you and/or your friends? Ghosts, poltergeists, aliens, shadow people, seemingly real nightmares, etc. Without launching into a big metaphysical debate, does anyone have any experiences they'd like to share?

When I was very young, apparently, I thought I could see my dead grandmother sitting in her chair at my grandfather's house and also would wake up seeing her looking at my brother in his crib. Unforunately, I don't remember it.

The only other thing I can think of was a very vivid nightmare I had one time. I walked into this mansion on the beach and, although nothing was wrong, it was the most intense form of. . .evil I've ever felt. Far more than anything I've experienced in real life.

Take that as you will.

I was walking along outside my house one day and I catch something in the glimpse of my eye. I carry on walking, then feel compelled to stop and look back. There's this strange white thing, that resembles Piedmon from Digimon walking towards me. I immediately run to the front door, open it and lock it.

I have no idea what it was but it is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

I never actually have had any type of 'experience' with ghosts and what not.

I'm not sure how I feel exactly about ghosts and the supernatural. I'd probably say I'm more in the middle maybe, as I'm not totally in either side of believe/don't believe.

One time late at night I was sleeping when the bottom of my mattress just jumped up. I was really tired so I'm not sure if I dreamt it or not but I was scarred ****less cause nothing could have done that and fit under my bed. I was way too scarred to look under it, and I wsas still really tired and fell back a sleep in a few minutes

My friends claim they saw a ghost of a woman from a painting they have in my one friend's house.

The Second One literally freaks me out to the point where I am going to pretend that its a fake and never think about it again.

Opinions?

Fake

but then again I don't believe in ghosts , another reason is he says he "set it up to record over night" yet it knows where too zoom in and at what time?

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh, damn, you're absolutely right, Mole -- I was too freaked out after watching it (fake or not) to even think about that huge gap in logic.

Kudos to SSM for pointing that out. I am now slightly less frightened (even though the video has already made an irreversible effect on my over-active imagination).

This was more-or-less my reaction. I immeadiately covered it with another window.

I believe the zoom-ins were edits he did to the video after the fact for emphasis.

I think the time was telling you what he saw after the recording. So after he viewed the tape, he noticed what happened at what time and then zoomed in.

i found some crazy ones oin youtube but some look fake another has a camera looking at a mirror and something passes by, and then the camera starts moving around and nothing is grabbing it though. that part looks fake though cuz it looks like stop animation. still creepy.

Saw that one too, and that's exactly what I thought about the camera moving. They're stop-motioning it.

In the same compilation there was some very creepy poltergeist footage that was the most.... convincing... I've ever seen and that thing with the child in the hallway, although it seems like it was probably fake, was still just such a scary image.

Here's the compilation video we're talking about.

Edit: I just caved and watching the video DSF mentioned up there. It's related to the other vids I posted and was filmed four days ago.

He's absolutely right, you have to watch it. If these guys are indeed faking it..... they're extremely clever.

Once, I showed one of my classmates an entire book that was written about ghosts in our area. She said, "How can we have ghosts? We're a rich white suburb!" And that is the extent of my personal ghost experience.

What evidence would be required for any of you to believe in ghosts? I think there's absolutely no video that could prove it. It's just too easy to mock up footage. I think it'd take either an intense personal experience or a scientific explanation for why ghosts exist (possibly coupled with someone creating or discovering a ghost under circumstances that match the theory). Of course, for every piece of evidence that ghosts could be real, there'll be a slew of fake evidence from attention whores or scam artists.

For me as a non-believer I would say I would have to see a ghost myself.

Of course if I did I would probably not believe and just think i'm going crazy or i've drank too much or both.

Personally, I have had two separate experiences with ghosts. The second one happened three years ago. Our high school's auditorium is famous for being haunted, and all sorts of crazy things happen all the time. One of the most prominent ones is that, when you're up on the lighting deck(the balcony off-stage-right that controls all the lights in the auditorium and on the stage), you'll start to hear the sound of a heavy door closing over and over. It comes from somewhere in the wall, and has never been explained. The balcony isn't level with either the first or second floor, it's in between the two. Now, due to some acoustical phenomenon, the door could be somewhere on either floor and still sound like it's coming from right next to the wall.... but there's no heavy door anywhere in the school that closes that often(my sister is now in 10th Grade drama and had the oppourtunity to time it last week.... 26 times in less than 10 minutes).

On top of this, after noticing it for a while back when we were in 10th Grade, my friend and our drama teacher about it. He says it's been happening as long as he can remember. It even happens when they're rehearsing at night when nobody else is in the school.

It's extremely frightening when you're up there doing the lights for a skit, by yourself, and it's pitch black, as I have been on two or three occasions.

Now, as for the actual experience there, my friend and I spent a period that year taking pictures with his digital camera. What we were actually trying to get was photos of orbs, just to see if we could because people had there before.

We had been unsuccessful so far. We'd take random pictures, as well as a few that involved us asking "the ghost" if we could take it's picture, and if so, to move a piece of string or something hanging from various places. If the string starting to move, we'd photograph it. Still, nothing unsusal there.

Then I took one of the whole auditorium, from the stage, and there, in the center of the photo against a far wall, was a small white object. Here's my jpeg of the photo.

Now this may not look like much, but on his camera, in high resolution, we zoomed in and, in all seriousness, it looked so much like a face that since then, I've honestly been able to say that yes, I do believe in ghosts, whatever they may really be. I figure that's as close to reasonable proof as I can get short of actually seeing a ghost*, a photo I took myself.

Oh, and the next photo we took was loaded with orbs. Go figure.

*Funnily enough... I may have seen one about 5 years earlier at a Karate tournament in a church. About eight of us were going down a hallway to look in the "haunted room" where a sunday school teacher had been strangled, or so the story goes. The door appeared to have opened by itself so we were walking down the hall and, as I remember it, she looked like the to half of a woman made of steam and cobwebs. We ran.

Since posting this I've met one of the kids who was in this group and asked him what he remembered seeing that day. Same thing, down to the details.

I think I may have actually seen a ghost when I was in usa. I was looking across my old holiday pictures and think I may have found one. Of course I can not prove this is a real thing but hopefully my picture speaks for itself
