Ultimate Marvel Timeline / Chronology (v. 3.0)

I dont understand why you have the ultimate spiderman annual 1 set after the most dangerous game arc of x-men, kitty clearly mentions spider-man as her boyfriend.

I'm pretty sure she was just daydreaming then.

That arc came out a year before the Annual.

Joe answered it. Kitty always had a crush on Spider-Man, even while she was dating Bobby. After her and Bobby broke up, I seem to remember her amping up her mentions of Spider-Man to anger Bobby, even before she and Spidey started actually dating.

Remember, Kitty and Spider-Man/Peter met awhile ago (during the Geldoff arc) and she's known his identity since then.

In USM, the Rhino battle in War of the Symbiotes and USM annual #1 are obviously the same battle. Why are they apart?

Because they're not the same battle. The Rhino fight in the War of the Symbiotes arc is the same as the Rhino fight in the USM video game, which is a separate fight from the one in the Annual. Peter has fought Rhino twice, those two mentions (War of the Symbiotes flashback/video game & Annual) being both times.

unfortunately, it really looks like the War of the symbiotes Rhino fight was meant to be the same one from the first annual. It has the exact same dialogue, sound effects, and Spidey defeats him in the same way. But in the end, that doesn't really matter as much as the fact that in War of the Symbiotes, Peter and MJ are still dating the day after he fights Rhino, and in the Annual, Peter and MJ are clearly broken up and Peter and Kitty hook up shortly after that. So yeah, it is the same fight, but it can't be the same fight, so it isn't the same fight. Does that make sense? no, but DIrishB's job is to make sense of that which makes no sense, and then put it in chronological order.

Updated for Ultimate Fantastic Four #59 and Squadron Supreme 2 #6 (which was surprisingly good).

Exactly.

I'm so glad you understand.

Basically, with the game, take it or leave it. If you don't think it works with continuity (which it really doesn't, but then again, a lot of the Ultimate comics don't either), then just ignore it. I just want to keep it in the timeline for completists and the sake of continuity reconcilers like myself.

Hello DIrishB, just to help out ith the timeline a bit, i think that part of Ultimate Spider-Man 129 takes place before ultimatum 1. judging by the preview.

Hey DIrishB
Basically, whilst im reading through the ultimate universe in chronological order, i am going to try and find things that may help you in the timeline.

There is on e thing i have just noticed whilst i just read the deadpool arc of USM. The deadpool arc has an appearnce from Angel in it, who in the arc is still part of the team, but you have issues of UXM set before that which shows him expelled from the school. I thought i might just point that out for you.

Okay i read somewhere that Angel was just visiting, but why was he in an X-Men uniform.

Okay so i was wrong again. But there are other things that are bothering me about your timeline.
Magician was introduced in the Date Night arc, you set the date night arc before the deadpool arc of USM, why was he not in the deadpool arc then, also in the Magician arc, why was Fury calling the Ultimates, his Ultimates, as if they were still pat of the governemnet when clearley they were not anymore because you have set the end of Ultimates 2 before the magician arc.

Just because someone doesn't show up doesn't mean he hasn't been "introduced" yet during that time. We can just simply assume that Magician was busy somewhere else.

For the Ultimates, they don't simply drop their support for SHIELD just like that. The official severance of the Ultimates from SHIELD occurs roughly some short time before Ultimates 3.

The confusion with the two Rhino fights are understandable, but since the War of the Symbiotes arc is an adaptation and continuation of the USM game to make it fit in the comic continuity, it is most likely a separate fight based on the game.

You answer your questions more than I do. ;)

As for the uniform, a number of reasons could be given.

Okay so i was wrong again. But there are other things that are bothering me about your timeline.

Magical arc occurs after Ultimates 2 end, since the Liberators characters appear in the Danger Room training scene, and the X-Men wouldn't have known of their existence unless it was post-Ultimates 2.

Where was Magician during the Deadpool arc? I don't know. He wasn't a part of the team yet, so there was no reason for him to be with them on a mission. Most likely he was back at the school.

As for Fury's comments, it could have been a mistake on the part of the writers, or it could be that at that point the Ultimates were still technically under Fury's control, since at the end of Ultimates 2 they'd only established they would break away from SHIELD, but hadn't actually done so yet. So just assume the Magical arc occurs very soon after Ultimates 2.

Also is it possible to assume that Fury was talking about the reserves. Actually thats a good point, he may have been talking about the reserves, which may actually be the new ultimates under governmengt control. hum

except that the whole point of the Deadpool arc was that Deadpool and the Reavers kidnapped the X-Men and everybody they found at the school (c.f. Spider-Man) so he wasn't just staying back from the mission, b/c it wasn't a mission.

But you're right, "Deadpool" had to have come before "Magical" b/c of the Danger room scene with the Liberators.

Magician wasn't there for the exact same reason that Iceman wasn't there and that Rogue was flying: Bendis doesn't pay attention.

Magician- So omnipotent that he willed himself out of existence in order to fix a continuity error [or maybe doing something with SHIELD, but I like the first one better].

Iceman- He could have been visiting his family or something. Not a real hole in continuity.

Rogue- She was just falling with style. Prove me wrong!

I think that clears it up.

He was on Deadpool's plane. He just never made an appearance afterward on the island. Bendis forgot he had used him and dropped him from the story. It's an error.
