Zack Snyder and Dave Gibbons are teaming up once again – but this time it's in the world of comics.

"We know the very idea of a Watchmen sequel is an insult to the great work that Moore and Dave have done, but I'd like to think isn't so much as a sequel as it is a continuation… and I've got Dave working with me so it should be fine." Snyder said.

"Watchman" will be a four issue mini-series with each issue focusing on a character… and what happens to them after the initial story.

"The first issue focuses on Ozymandias and shows what happened to the world after the New York incident," Gibbons said. "It deals with how the world operates and what he does next."

"The second follows Dan and Laurie, who are now living under assumed identities and trying to be normal people, though of course they begin to feel guilt over their actions and wonder if they have done what was right."

"The third… this is probably the most inventive. It shows what Doc Manhattan does after he leaves. We basically start with this new universe that he's created… and it's pretty amazing stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing Dave's designs for this the most."

The two don't reveal much about the fourth issue though they did hint it will follow up on Rorschach's Journal and maybe even Rorschach himself. "Let's just say that the journey is not over once you die," Gibbons smiled. "How would Rorschach function in the afterlife?"

Zack Snyder and Dave Gibbons will be writing the story and Gibbons will draw it himself. There is no release date yet but they are trying to get the first issue out in time to coincide with the DVD release of the film.

So... holy ****.

Alan Moore must be rolling in his grave.........if he had one.

*waits patiently for the announcement on April 1st that this is a joke*

Darkknight's right on this, guys. The link takes you to the press release of the After Watchmen 1 dollar books. Proj played ya.

I don't believe this thing at all. The link doesn't even take you to an article that says that. Looks like BS to me.

Ummm, no?

It's right there, in the article. I sees it.

I can't wait to see how many years this takes to come out. I'm guessing three. We all know Gibbons was the person who slowed down Watchman, not Moore.

I am interested.

I loved WATCHMEN. But what is SO sacred about those characters, that particular storyline, that some want to say - THAT IS IT. No more stories with these characters, ever?

Granted, the bar has been set high. But frankly, I would LOVE to read a well-written Rorschach story. A well-written NiteOwl story. And so forth...

The link definitely doesn't take me to an article that says anything about that. It talks about the whole "After Watchmen What's Next" thing, but that's about other comics. Either the link is taking me to a different page, or this is all an elaborate hoax. I think the latter.

You're just not wearing the right 3D glasses. Its a secret article hidden within the article you can see. Sort of like the Matrix, but with less drug allusions. Its there, though, and I can't wait.

Don't worry, I believe's you Proj!!
