Going to your second point, you can dislike a movie for whatever reason you want. But disliking it just because someone else dislikes it? Why do you care what Alan Moore thinks and why would you use someone else's likes and dislikes as a basis for yours?
Honestly I'm surprised to hear something like that from you. Your points are usually well-thought out and well-articulated.
No no no no no. I'm a big boy and can handle someone not liking something that I like.
And really - if we are avoiding discussion because we don't want to hurt someone's feelings then I might as well shut the site down, because what good is a discussion board if you can't discuss things? Stop avoiding threads because you're afraid of hurting someone else's feelings. If they can't handle it, they should leave. Talk or argue respectfully and all will be well. I've never known you to do otherwise so I don't know why you would do that.
That said (and even though it's off topic) I do want to know what YOU - not Alan Moore or anyone else - doesn't like about V for Vendetta.
