are we going to at least count krypto saves the day as an elseworlds title or just ignore it completely?
Elseworlds I'd say (that's just me though - if it was more impactful I'd probably disregard Gunn's statement, but it's literally 4 short Tom & Jerry antics made to look like the DCU (I haven't seen them yet, that is a joke - Reddit's made me paranoid about literally any joke I make now)

it may be me, but the "couple of years" that Gunn dictated, it doesn't work. It all seems too recent to me. Harcourt has not worked for two years but the arrears are a few months. Economos and Vij have been talking every night since the former was reassigned to Belle Reve... So for a good 2 and a half years? It feel strange to me. Chris has never opened the door since he has been living there? They are mainly sensations, but I think James Gunn wrote it without thinking about a big time gap

Rick Flag Sr was informed of the Quantum unfolding chamber blip in January (per what his female assistant said in-episode). He's been head of ARGUS at least since recovering from his Clayface beatdown.

in all interviews they say that Rick Flag is at three different points in his career in the 3 projects in which he has appeared. So he became director of the argus very recently. Plus there was a report in January, but no one said it was made to Rick Bill Flag Sr.

So I gotta ask you a question or two:
Creature Commandos in early 2025?
Did his bones heal that fast?

For me, CC is 2024. I don't think even enhancements could heal him that fast.
Thus, Peacemaker is 2025, two years after S1 and three years after TSS.

Also, new episode will drop in about 40 minutes.

In the finale of peacemaker Vij explodes and is shot in several points of his body, but fights like a ninja (ditto for Emilia), here we are not talking about hours, but months. If there's one universe where it's possible, it's this.

It's not this universe though, Peacemaker 2x02 confirms as much. Creature Commandos is more than eight months ago.

I'd say that's wrong as Gunn said "CC happens only months before Superman".

Feels like they're going off the DCEU 2021 placement of TSS and working forward 2 years from there.
Technically 2020, but yeah the Wiki is wrong. The events shifted some years ahead in the DCU version, clearly.

Yes, sorry, 2021 was the DCEU Peacemaker season 1 date.

Makes their placement even stranger that they actually did move it but with no clear reason of why they picked that date.

I put ["Earth-2"] in quotations in the timeline, like how I had to label the X-Men-Universe-Formerly-Known-As-Earth-10005-But-May-Or-May-Not-Be-Earth-17315 (deep breath) as ["Earth-10005"] in the MCU timeline. It's not Earth-2 like the revised X-Men timeline is not Earth-10005.

Apparently it's all from a vague old comment by Gunn saying that TSS is set in the year it came out, so 2021, and they based the Peacemaker s1 and CC dates from that

the 8 months ago scene is in november 2024, so cc must be at least several weeks if not months before that to account for flags healing; we know flag jr was killed "about 2 years ago" prior to cc; chris refers to the "events" of season 1 as "months ago" in s2e2; piecing all that together ive come up with this rough outline:

- may 2022 - superman reveals himself to the public

- august 2022 - dcu version of the events in the suicide squad; no bloodsport kryptonite bullet

- january-february 2023 - dcu version of the events in peacemaker season 1

- may 2024 - cc

- may 2025 - main events of superman

- july 2025 - main events of peacemaker season 2

with this, economos' leg took around a year and a half to heal, while flag srs back took less than six months

Chris was in a 5-month coma, which I think Gunn said was still the case in the DCU.

being in a coma for 5 months doesn't necessarily mean he left the hospital after 5 months; personally i think between tss and peacemaker 1 is the best possible spot for adding an extended length of time if need be, should season 1 of peacemaker need to end up closer to season 2; although ill say i think theres at least 1 year between peacemaker 1 and cc

with
november 2024 being a solid point we can establish around that based on how long we're assuming srs injuries took to heal, its really subjective at this point how long specifically has passed between each of the individual projects

Why 1 year between Peacemaker and CC? I agree with what you said before that. For that Peacemaker S1 in January 2024 and CC in early 2024 after peacemaker s1 could be perfect

Mortal Kombat doesn't really have much bearing on that, other than placing it after September 2023... which is still accurate if it's set in 2024.
