DC Extended Universe / DC Universe - Timeline

Feel like TSS' placement depends on the Bloodsport backstory with him shooting Superman, with DCU Superman being confirmed to have only debuted 3 years before May 2025. TSS as a whole isn't canon so you could ignore that part entirely until Bloodsport ever gets mentioned again, or stretch the "3 years ago" quote so August 2021 can still fit, but something to consider.
ehh im going to assume that wont be a part of bloodsports origin in the dcu moving forward (remember, gunn said, "there are references to things that happened in the past. and those references then become canon in the dcu because we mention them[.]," so we dont really know if that still happened; im hoping we'll learn more about that in peacemaker 2, as gunn has also stated ["the truth is almost all of peacemaker is canon with the exception of justice league… which we will kind of deal with in the next season of peacemaker."])

Superman: A Friendship Unleashed #1

May 19-24
Superman

Just want to say that Friendship Unleashed feels like it should be after the movie as
Lois doesn't know about Krypto before the movie but he's seen around Metropolis in the comic. But that of course doesn't fit with him going off with Kara (maybe it's around the time of the mid credits?).

And the film starts on 18th May
(19th is the next day after the Hammer of Boravia fight).

I have a feeling most if not all DCU tie-in media will be non-canon. This comic has been confirmed non-canon for example.

In his MCU days, James Gunn said that Guardians of the Galaxy Prelude comic was non-canon.

According to James Gunn, the MCU Groot animated series is also not canon. Albeit I think MCU higher ups disagree with Gunn in this case, it gives indication as to what Gunn thinks of tie-in media canonicity

So, based on this, I wouldnt't be surprised if a lot of those tie-in stuff would be declared non-canon, including those novels. It is clear James Gunn has a tendency to not consider tie-in media canon to the main body of work, and he is in charge of DCU.
