My two questions about this show are:
A.) since DC has in the past tried their hardest to not have two versions of the same character in film at a time, will this be included in the DCCU as a prequel of sorts?
B.) Fox has TV rights for batman, and movie rights for X-Men, is it wrong that I keep wishing for Dark Claw to somehow appear oout of this?

Well, it's been stated it's not the same universe as Nolan's Batman trilogy, haven't heard anything about whether or not it's connected to the DCCU.

However, I doubt it is. Given DC/WB are keeping the Arrow and Flash series separate from the DCCU, I seriously doubt they're going to make Gotham a part of it.

Bruno Heller says we will see Harvey Dent and the Joker...eventually. Also says the actor playing young Bruce is best actor ever to portray the character, and that by series end we will see Bruce donning the Batman cowl, figuratively or literally.
