Green Lantern series discussion (Spoilers!)

Well Apart from (I guess) Green Lantern #1. Emerald Dawn was the post-Crisis on infinite earth, origin. This was followed by Emerald Dawn II that deals with Sinestro, and it's the reason that the parallax story is called Emerald Twilight, and the Final Night tie-in is called Emerald Night.

Those together with Day of Judgement and Zero Hour are all the key events that happen in Hals life before rebirth.

Great! This is just the information I need for when I fully explore my interest in the character.

Are all of these stories available in Trade Paperback format?

I think that'd be good, since he's not ION anymore, he could be the ION equivalent for the Blue lanterns...also since he started the same time as Ganthet and that.

and now we have far too many green lanterns for our sector.

Plus, I'm not sure but I think he's got a special relationship with the two little munchkins who went off to start the Blue Lanterns. And there's supposed to be a prophecy about him being a beacon of hope, right?

Not sure about emerald twilight or final night, but i'm pretty sure the rest are.

Geoff Johns also wrote Day of judgement, so you could say that's where his part in the green lantern saga starts.

...

Did the earth sector have a particular sinestro representative? was it abin sur? or amon sur or whoever was yellow...

and we have the star saphire one.

so who's left (assuming blue is kyle), red, violet and orange. I guess luthor is an obvious choice for the orange ring, tho he probably wouldn't take it.

It's be awsome if it was like booster gold. or guy gardner, or one of the heroes we love that can be a bit greedy from time to time.

The Massacre of Sector 666...

And Atrocitus going after Black Hand with Jordan and Sinestro in pursuit. Awesome.

Catwoman would make an interesting Orange

Hector Hammond may be Agent Orange.

I like how this not just an origin of Jordon but everything.

And that they include some of the scenes shown in flashbacks earlier in the series.

Yeah completely agree. Johns is completely re-establishing the whole universe of green lanterns with this colour spectrum thing.

i wonder if any of the lanterns for earth sector get established within this arc.

Also I hope it explains where sinestro gets the first yellow ring from. I never knew what that was.

Didn't the Weapons of Qward make it for him when he was banished into the Anti-Matter Universe?

Yeah that sounds about right, did johns already explain that in rebirth and sinestro corps?

Do the sinestro use their left hands for thier rings?

Also if Qward is like the Yellow Oa, will the other ring colours have central planets? Like the black one, where the anti-monitor landed etc.?

The Rage of the Red Lanterns oneshot was pretty awesome, despite having pretty much nothing to do with Final Crisis. Sinestro is to be executed on Korugar and Hal, John, Kilowogg and a bunch of other GLs are to escort him there. On the way, they are ambushed by a group of Yellow Lanterns and a short battle ensues before both groups are ambushed by Red Lanterns (including a kitty!). Their rings seem to use the user's blood to fire a beam that turns into flames or something. They take Sinestro and Hal's ring is fading... and then begins being charged again. And we meet our very first Blue Lantern, who says they have to go after Sinestro because if the universe is going to survive the Blackest Night, he needs to LIVE.

Very exciting. In Blackest Night is going to be insane.

I also forgot about Sinestro mentioning he knows about Mongul's coup and will deal with him personally. Sinestro vs. Mongul for control over the Sinestro Corps? :)

Everything about this issue was exciting. The Red Lanterns are very scary.

The Red Lanterns seem to be my favorite so far. The ring removes the heart and freezes the blood, causing them to spit it up. Insane.

I loved the nods to the events happening in the Green Lantern Corps book with Mongul's takeover and the diplomatic mission to the Star Sapphires.

I want Sinestro with a Green Ring in the final battle. I have decided that would be the most awesome thing that could happen...

And we've got the Controllers greedy for some Orange rings... So who do you think will be the Earth reps for the Blue, Orange, and Red corps?

And what's the deal with that lady Guardian? She must be trying to incite the Blackest Night, by leading everyone to the creation of the different corps.
