According to that MSN news page when I sign into hotmail - the next James Bond, #22, is called "QUANTUM OF SOLACE".

So I suppose, this place should be the thread for it.

Re: James Bond: Quantum of Solace

Presenting the longest synopsis ever

Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (JUDI DENCH) interrogate Mr White (JESPER CHRISTENSEN) who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (OLGA KURYLENKO), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (MATHIEU AMALRIC), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation.

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (JOAQUIN COSIO). Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.

In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organisation.

If this is like the last one I'll watch it. I never liked James Bond till casino royale

Re: James Bond: Quantum of Solace

The title sounds like some weird BBC Sci-Fi show.

The Summary sound nice though. I can't wait to see Bond and M interrogate Mr. White.

Re: James Bond: Quantum of Solace

while I don't really like the title this movie should be good. at least that is what I hope based off of the last one.

Re: James Bond: Quantum of Solace

Oooh, I like the title. It's quite intriguing. I find it hilarious that die-hard Bond fans are having this piece of news (the title announcement) hit them harder than news of Heath Ledger's death. Srsly, look at all the message boards; they're moaning like it's the end of the world or something.

The big question, however: how are they gonna make an opening song based on that?!

Re: James Bond: Quantum of Solace

its the QUAAAAANNNNNTuuuuummmMMMMMMM offffffffff.....

SOOOOOOLAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: James Bond: Quantum of Solace

Quantum Solace seems like it would make more sense grammatically.

Neither fits the Bond Franchise, though.

I'm sure the movie will kick *** nonetheless, but yeah, not the right title.

Re: James Bond: Quantum of Solace

Quantum of Solace is the name of a Bond short story in the anthology For Your Eyes Only. It was written by Ian Fleming. That's why the name was picked; it's an Ian Fleming Bond title.

Anyways, I'm glad that it's continuing from Casino Royale. I hope all of Craig's Bond films are like that.

I think the new movie should have been called James Bond: Rent.

Basically, the spy organization in England sends him to the streets of New York for a full year to live with alot of different people from different walks of life. They sing their way through the year, and get into hilarious arguments, they fall in and out of love, and gain new friendships. And the place is full of old Bond villains and girls.

It be 525,600 minutes of awesome.

It's cooler than Casino Royale, which was already used once anyway.
But Casino Royale sounds like a Bond films, relating to the Gentleman spy concept. This one sounds too sci fi
