Marvel.com:
Pioneered to be the books for both the casual and hardcore fans, this new imprint kicks off with two can't miss series: ASTONISHING SPIDER-MAN/WOLVERINE by superstars Jason Aaron and Adam Kubert, and the series that started it all back for a bold new era, ASTONISHING X-MEN #1 by the duo of Warren Ellis and Kaare Andrews.

Here's how Astonishing works: set firmly in the Marvel Universe and providing the perfect starting point for all readers, new or old, these books will tell the most epic stories of heroic action set against the back drop of the real world. New readers will be able to jump right into these epic adventures, while die-hard Marvel fans will also find exciting insights and dramatic changes for Marvel's most prestigious characters.

Marvel's Senior Vice-President of Sales & Circulation David Gabriel:
This is something that will encompass all of the Marvel Universe at some point in time, but you'll be hearing more about those in the coming months as we announce the creative teams and characters involved. This is a line that's here to stay and will make its mark across the board!

EDIT: Here's some promo art

So this is basicly Ultimate Marvel Version 2.0?
Also "Astonishing X-men" again?

Forget Storm's under-cleavage. Check out Emma's ass-cleavage!

That promo art for X-Men looks ****ing trashy, but I think making Astonishing an imprint is a great idea, maybe a better one than DC's new Earth-One imprint. The smart move would be to put a lot of care into the collected trades. Insure they look pretty and appealing for the general book-buying public.

OH god guys, im having so much fun with this picture!

When did Emma Frost get the same proportions as Snooky from Jersey Shore?
If beast would stand up in that picture he'd be 8 feet tall!

and OMG, those hips on storm!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

That's disappointing. Astonishing X-Men looks kind of awful and is only three issues long. What's happened to the current series?

Astonishing Wolverine/Spider-Man looks okay... but it's a Kubert. It's going to take two years for all six issues to come out.

I do not like the artist for that promo image at all. Yuck.

OMG THAT SOUNDS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM ANYTHING THEY'VE EVER DONE!!!!!1111one

You guys are all crazy. Kaare Andrews is an awesome artist. Read Spider-Man Reign. It's sweet.

He may be fantastic elsewhere but that image is awful.

The top image looks like really bad fanart. That's supposed to be Kaare Andrews? What are they paying him? His Incredible Hulk covers were incredible. His Astonishing X-Men cover is....less than astonishing.
