Star Wars General Discussion (dedicated to Houde)

As I said, think it's all been blown out of proportion for click bait/web traffic purposes. Think about it. The original shoot lasted like 6-7 months, from August, 2015 to February/March, 2016. I don't see how anyone thinks a film could reshoot/change 50% of its footage in 3-4 weeks of reshoots. It's simply not possible.

If by some chance Disney pushes release date back, then there may be viability to the claims. Until that happens, relax.

Keep trolling and ignoring relevant info in favor of the drama, wyo:

Mads Mikkelson from that same damn interview said:
It's the same film, it's just adding little bits here and there to do the final polishing.

He never said he has no idea why they're reshooting, lol. You're being ridiculous, man. Thanks for reminding me why I left.

Little bits, like how Age of Ultron got little bit a of humor to make Ultron less intimidating and more humorous and it ruined the character.

Also don't bother, I'm leaving. I know I'm the reason traffic here has stopped. No one wants to say it, but I know it's me.

No need for that. Maybe just lighten up a little? Try taking a bit more of an open-minded approach? It's your life, but I speak from experience: negativity is like a poison that inevitably spreads. There's enough of it already in the world, no need to add more.

That's your daily "feel good" message. ;)

I don't know if you're just looking for sympathy or something but literally no one thinks that.

You can both stop with the idiotic sniping, though.

I'm reading the new book Bloodline and it's pretty okay-ish. I don't know if this was ever explored or mentioned anywhere, particularly before the canon reset, but they very briefly hit on Leia's fake accent when she was aboard the Death Star and called it a mocking of Tarkin. I thought that was kind of interesting.

The also called the "slave" costume a "dancing girl" costume. Disney has clearly been going to great lengths to eliminate the use of the word "slave" from that particular outfit.

As an aside - I've listened to a couple of audiobooks read by January Lavoy and she is OK for the most part, but I cringe every time she tries to do a male voice. It always sounds like she's doing this mocking voice and it's terrible. She actually has really good range for female voices and can do different types really well.

Most male readers can't do female voices very well either; they just sound like effeminate men. I wish they would just bring in voice actors for characters of different genders.

So Forrest Whittaker's character in Rogue One has been revealed as
Saw Gerrera, who first appeared in Season 5 of The Clone Wars series
. It's cool they're tying the shows into the films like that. :)

Also excited to see Vader back on the big screen.

I wish they did more of that. There's no reason not to. Even small things like Aurra Sing in Episode 1.

First clip from Rebels season 3 and Gareth Edwards being a lil cutie pie.

Speculation that this is related to Rogue One. I also saw Bleeding Cool speculate that it could be a Dr. Aphra series. I don't think she is interesting enough to carry her own series.
