What If? Book Forum

So I spent time yesterday while not posting coming up with an actual plan to convince you to make a book forum: some dramatic and unignorable.

A Poetry Strike.

I would only post in haiku, sonnets, villanelle, limerick, etc., until we got our book forum. My opening salvo:

Strike for this forum!
Strike by speaking in poems
Abjuring all prose.

Poem Strike is Go!
Violate no forum rules!
Show support for books!

A poster on Ultimate Central
Started sounding something like a minstrel.
Some wished he would quit!
All took'd would it
Be a book forum for that was his wish, ya'll!

Oh well. Glad I didn't have to do that for long.

Well its about time. I've only been prodding at this one since the last site reorganization.

Now when will you make a music forum. I wouldn't go in it much but I'm sure that others would.

Awesome. This is going straight into the "April is Poetry Month" thread that I thought I would start tomorrow.

So why isn't the threads here updating on the recent threads sidebar?

Have gone through 40 pages of Lounge threads and moved discussions that seemed to be mostly book-related here. Let me know if I missed anything.

(Oh, and someone kind of needs to mop in the last five pages or so of the Lounge forum. The drek is piling up.... :sure: )

Thanks, E. This is great.

Should we have "All About [Genre] Thread"s? I actually disapprove of the All About threads because I think good discussion gets lost too quickly, but they would be good for a "Hey, does anyone else read this? You do? Okay, I'll make a thread for it." post.
