The DVD purchase thread

Bought both the 1960 and 2002 versions of The Time Machine(I've seen them both before), and when he was at HMV my dad also ended up grabbing the Riddick trilogy DVD. I love Pitch Black and Chronicles(although PB is superior), but haven't seen Dark Fury yet, which I'm looking forward too.

Also got the 2-Disc Platinum Edition of Peter Pan for my sister.

Edit: And no, I'm not one of those spoiled teenagers who can just go out and buy whatever they want all the time. I just save up, and a lot of that has to do with not having to pay cell phone bills or buy drugs and alcohol.

Pick the video game of Riddick. The best thing in the series.

Casino Royale 2-Disc Widescreen(I mention WS because we accidentaly got the Fullscreen version and had to take it back).

I hate people who try to argue that getting Fullscreen is better. There's not even supposed to be any argument on the matter!

I say this because two or three of my closest friends ignorantly think Fullscreen is superior and won't listen to anything that negates that. :x

Yeah wide and full screen are more presonal prefernce, but it doesnt mater, soon everything will be in wide screen

So like I've said in like 2 other posts....I found "The Loop" on DVD this weekend.

I am happy.

It was a show that FOX aired and cancelled after 7 episodes. It was incredibly funny. I recommend that everyone see this failed little gem.

I just found out on theirwebsite that they're bringing the show back!!!!! Season 2 premieres 10 June!!!!

The only thing that I am sad about is it looks like the character Lizzy won't be back. An odd piece of trivia----Sara Mason (Wright) was on another FOX sitcom that I liked called "Quintuplets". That too, tragically got cancelled.

TV cancels everything I love.

Bendis actually wrote a pretty decent bit on why people can be so wrong-headed about that in Jinx. The broken logic being that people don't like paying to have unused cathodes on the top and lower portion of their screen.

In a handful of years, you'll be able to laugh at your friends when fullscreen IS widescreen.

I saw The Departed on DVD.

"Watch your mouth!"

"No, YOU watch it..."

*shudders*

I agree, horrible movie

Ugh, I agree so much it hurts.

The worst part is my best friend loved it, in fact, thinks it's better than Goodfellas, which was already one of his favourite movies, and refuses to give me any reason why. "It just.......is. It's just......better. Blah blah blah."

**** YOU! And you too, Academy! You want a Best Picture? BABEL! BABEL!

Thank you for telling me exactly what I wanted to hear.

I'll be sending you my unpaid electric bill.

It should only cost you half as much as me anyway if you pay in pounds.

 I meant no no you shouldn't
