It has to be before 2019 according to the wiki, and the Home Alone Again Ad is set in December 2018 and features them. In the Pokemon universes the pokemon exist since the beginning of time, and are present everywhere and are a normal part of the universe as animals are in the real world. Clearly the Home Alone universe is a world where pokemon don't exist, otherwise we would have seen one already.

It is possible that the in-universe film that makes the connection exist in both universe, though, since we only see like 3 scenes of the in-universe series in the movies, and the characters are indoors, so it is possible for them to have been made in both a "Pokemon" and "Pokemon-less" world.

Alternatively, perhaps the very fact that characters survive what would be fatal injuries in the Home Alone films helps the Pokemon link, as the same applies to that series. Ignoring that, which I generally do, the lack of a reference to something is not an example of a contradiction.

It's completely possible that Pokemon do exist in the Home Alone universe and we just never see them because films show you an extremely compromised version of events where a few days are crunched into an hour or two. Characters don't just stop existing between time jumps and we have no idea what might be happening elsewhere during a film. I'm not suggesting we argue that things exist with no evidence, but when evidence suddenly exists, we can't use the lack of a reference previously to dispute it.

I would take it that, if we were to seriously acknowledge the connection, only Detective Pikachu would have any relevance. Not all of Pokemon canon, because that'd be crazy.

so if we think that, TRI is a combination of all 3 version, the canon version of events would be IMO:

Legacy of Atlantis: Complete Game.
Anniversary: Narratives elements exclusive of this version.
Remastered: Lara's Home and the 2 DLCs.

(And I wanted to return to this, after finishing ACIII, well I guess I need to wait for the remake.... Damn you SE, couldn't you remake TRII?)

Guys I was thinking about the reimagining titles and the common assumptions is that they're going to reimagine all the games from TR I to TRA.

But what if that's not the case? Like, I can't see a reimagining of Chronicles as I feel like it would be a waste of time for them, and anyways they released 2 Remastered collections of TR I to VI, BUT strangely the year we were expecting a collection for the LAU trilogy, it didnd't come.

So what if the reimagining titles are all about the LAU trilogy?

Ik what you're thinking now: "If that's the case why they remastered the 1st one too?" well can you imagine the scandal if they released the collections missing the very 1st game? Also since Natla is the Villain of Underworld it's fitting that they'd start with the 1st game.

And tbh, the LAU are the games that really need a reimagining thanks to the contradictions about Lara's parents and her backstory; (also not related, but if you go and check the announcement SE did in 2021 for the unified timeline with their guide, you can see that they always had the classic games and LAU trilogy as being the same canon and not a reboot, eh?) while the classic series never had really a need for one aside from updating designs and gameplay, but you can close an eye on the designs and you'll get used to the rusty gameplay after a while.

So, in conclusion, I think they'll just reimagine the LAU trilogy, while the Remastered versions of TR II to VI will remain the used ones for the newly Unified Timeline.

P.P.S. I really love that if after Catalyst we get other 2 games, TR can be divided into 5 sets of trilogies:

Survivor Trilogy (TR, RotTR, SotTR)
Original Trilogy (TRLoA, TRII, TRIIIAoLC)
Von Croy Trilogy (TRIVLR, TRC, TRAoD)
Natla Trilogy (TRLoA [Again], TRL, TRA)
Whatever it will be identified Trilogy (TRC, TRCS1, TRCS2)

The Survivor Era dating system! so originally The Survivor Era was set between 2013 and 2018. But this is no longer the case as Legend of Lara Croft places itself 3 years after Tomb Raider 2013.

So here's my proposition:

1989 - The Beginning, Tomb Raider, Ten Thousand Immortals, Tomb Raider (2014) #1-6
1990 - Tomb Raider (2014) #7-18, Trailer, Rise of the Tomb Raider + DLCs
1991 - Tomb Raider (2016) #1-12, Survivors Crusade, Inferno, Path of Apocalypse, Shadow of the Tomb Raider + DLCs
1992 - Legend of Lara Croft

We have to make some assumptions, but I think this could work.

Tomorrow when I have time and in-breaks between Playing TRII, I'll do a similar Post for the Lara Croft series.

Let's go now for the Lara Croft Series, as I said earlier SE places the 2 games and the comic and novel between Angel of Darkness and Legend.

Legend places itself 10 years after Anniversary so 2006, and if we assume release date for the classic series without stating otherwise, then Angel of Darkness is set in 2003.

So since th Lara Croft Series must take place between 2003 and 2006, I propose this solution, and I also added the spin-off games to the mix!

2003 - Angel of Darkness
2004 - Guardian of Light, Reflection (also in this year: Spere of Influence, Takeover, Tomb Raider (1999) #38-48)
2005 - Temple of Osiris, Relic Run, Go, Frozen Omen #1-5, Blade of Gwynnever (also in this year: Tomb Raider (1999) #49-50, Monster War (2005) #1-4, The Greatest Treasure of All)
2006 - Legend
