Surprisingly, this is the most G1 looking Transformer in the Bayformers trilogy.

Pardon me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard.

Transformers were so huge for me as a kid that I cannot conceive not loving this. I loved Revenge of the Fallen, too.

It would be awesome if this was rated PG so I could take my kid.

I'm not going to see this in the cinema But i will watch dvd. The reason is i'm still interested enough to see it eventually. But TF rise of the fallen was so bad it's killed how excited I'd be for this.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon discussion (spoilers)

What did everyone think?

Definitely the best of all three films, but that's not saying a huge amount.

Action and visuals were fantastic
The majority of the human plot was pointless.
I was really annoyed that Sam actually killed Starscream.
Laserbeak was cool, Shockwave was MASSIVELY underused.

Audibly groaned when Spock Prime (I am sorry but the robot even looked like Mirror Spock with the beard) actually turned around and said "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few".

You pretty much expressed exactly everything I thought.

I must add; Megatron going down like a *****. That just angered my blood. I almost didn't mind Starscream dying, since he wasn't at all my Starscream.

Any given episode of Transformers: Prime is better than the this entire series of films.

I still like the first one. I haven't seen the second one since the cinema.

Same.

I wouldn't pay full price to see this, let alone with the 3D surcharge, but I might see it in a week or two on a half-price night or one when I can get free tickets. But really, it's only a matter of vague curiosity and pop-culture awareness.

To get any value out of this movie you really should see it on a giant screen. The visuals were by far it's best aspect.

I agree with all the criticisms, but would like to add: 1)
Megatron being the one to kill Sentinel Prime (or whatever he was named)
, 2) Optimus Prime changing from wise, noble leader to blood thirsty killer a little too...willingly. If that makes sense.
For example he freaking shoots Spock Prime execution style at the end, and rips some robots "throat" out. If I'm not mistaken he claims, "We'll kill them all" or something to that effect at one point.

If you notice, Optimus Prime has been incredibly brutal in his 'peaceful mission' throughout this series. It has been "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings, unless you piss me off. Then you lose your face." He tore Starscreams arm off and ripped another Decepticons face off in the second one, this one we have him tearing Megatrons head and spine off.

One point to note:
In the second one Prime gets the flight equipment when Jetfire dies and passes on his parts to Prime. In this one Prime keeps those parts in his trailer. Is it just me or does anyone else find it disturbing that Prime has a walk in wardrobe filled with his dead friends body parts?

I think the films have gotten progressively worse. The first one is still my favorite. It's not as cluttered and unorganized as the other films and doesn't contain as many unnecessary/what-the-**** scenes. Dark of the Moon was absolutely terrible. Everything wrong with the previous films is only made worse in this film.
