Well, it's not the second middle-ages, so forget what I said. Though I actually have to disagree a bit with the showrunner, I see no reason why Dreamland couldn't be New York, that's the logical conclusion to make the easter egg fit

Because of how they word it, it seems that he appreciates the fan theories still, and it's really the only way to explain the Fry Easter egg, so I'll go with the Second Middle Ages placement

I know that Bill Cipher had a canonical appearence in The Simpsons

Bill Cypher is shown in the Simpsons as one of Loki's forms, so I'm gonna assume any other appearance of him in The Simpsons is just Loki
