The Gifted Season 1 is 2017 based on Grace's gravestone being July 15, 2013. 4 years later, 2017. Season 2 starts 6 months later, and should be 9 months after the first episode as Polaris has her baby.

5 minutes into The Gifted 2x02, there's a September 15, 2018 date. I took it as 2017 with Saturday being a mistake. I think I was gonna try and breakdown episodes 9-13 of S2 so that it ends in 2018 but I think I gave up. I'm not the biggest fan of The Gifted, Legion is better, haha.
 
I do wonder if Earth-17372 is actually some variant of the X-Men films. I recall them saying that they considered some things from the films as canon at one point, and some lore matches up nicely, like the Hellfire Club. There's actually explicit statements placing it in Earth-10005 (which we know isn't true now), and there's statements that outright reject it as canon, and there's statements that place it as a branched reality created by Days of Future Past, and there's statements that make Blink a different version to that in Days of Future Past... oh, and mutants are common knowledge in the 1950s, which completely contradicts X-Men: First Class.

In my opinion, it appears as if they wrote the show to be in the Days of Future Past timeline but drifted away from that idea so that they have creative freedom, thus it being set in its own continuity.

I think it branched from July 15, 2013-onwards. Something, maybe Deadpool during his time travel shenanigans (jk), caused chaos in the streets that brought about an accelerated Sentinel Program, but not one as advanced as Earth-10005's yet.

My take from the 1950s newspaper mention of Mutants is more or less it's an underground concept or conspiracy at that point and in 1962 it's brought more into the forefront with Charles Xavier's studies into it during his Ph.D studies late into university.

Blink being different is just difference of time period.

wait so basically the gifted is officially a different universe, but has the amaunt of 50% of lore accurate to the movies and that 50% of lore discrepancies that if you want you can place in your headcanon x-man movie timeline if you want?


Also wasn't Logan stated to be an alternate universe in the Marvel Encyclopedia, or was an error on the encyclopedia part.

  2. Logan is confirmed to take place following the ending of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
  3. The New Mutants directly connects to X-Men: Apocalypse, Logan and Deadpool 2. I believe you can even see Donald Pierce briefly.
Conclusion: Earth-17315 is the Revised Timeline.

Actually, it'd have to branch before 2013 of Earth-17315 because of the whole mutants not being born thing.
