Avengers New Avengers: Revolution discussion (#26-31; spoilers)

Re: New Avengers discussion (#26+; spoilers)

That's a good point. Why just last week they did the same thing to Secret Wars 2 and that was an EVENT.

Yeah, right?! And, not to open this can of worms again, but
lest we forget how long the Spider-clone was running around?

Re: New Avengers 31-Marvel's next big event...

Sorry, Bax. Me splain. Now, understand i haven't been reading this series up to this point, but,
Echo stabs Elektra after breaking the spell and we see that at least the Elektra they've been fighting recently was actually a Skrull

Re: New Avengers 31-Marvel's next big event...

If this is the Elektra that's been around since her first death, I am going to KILL people!

Re: New Avengers 31-Marvel's next big event...

I gotta say, this sounds lot like a plot point Frank Miller might want cleaned up...

well, he is rumored to be coming back to Marvel..or is that what you meant?

Yep. In the rumor that I read it said that he's willing to come back as long as an unnamed plot point got cleared up. And then we have this. :(

Re: New Avengers discussion (#26+; spoilers)

I thought the dramatic reveal was that her corpse had been dessicated because the art was so bad. It took me forever to realize those were the super special
Skrull chin bumps
and not just more random scribbles. And the
coloring
is so bad I couldn't tell she was
green
. When I realized what happened, I was like "Oh my ****ing god, they really did it. Everyone was joking about it, but nobody thought they'd really do it. Marvel has become a parody of a parody."

Also, on the cover, Elektra isn't wearing underwear.

I'm not nit-picking -- i'm honestly not sure what you're referring to here: did you mean desiccated (hyper-dried), or desecrated (euphemism for somebody doing something rather unspeakable with her dead body)?

Please keep in mind that I haven't actually read the issue. I've already read the spoilers, but since I haven't seen the pages, I don't know exactly what you're talking about. Sorry :p

Desiccated, like mummified. Spell-check didn't pick up the error, sorry.

Re: New Avengers 31-Marvel's next big event...

But. . . didn't Miller bring her back in the first place anyway?

Yeah, but I always heard he wasn't happy about it. It was the last DD issue he did of his first run, and in an interview in the back of the Omnibus he talks about alot of things he wanted to do with the character that as far as I can tell didn't happen. Maybe because he was unhappy about having to revive her?

Re: New Avengers 31-Marvel's next big event...

Those damn Skrulls really are everywhere.

There had better be one hell of an awesome-tastic explanation for this or I'm gonna burn something.

I think every comic this week should've ended with someone being revealed as a Skrull, including World War Hulk and Fables.

They have an awesome explanation. The Illuminati.

There already is, if you think about it --

(spoilers for Illuminati, if you're not familiar with that series)
Remember the Illuminati story where the Skrulls obtain info on the Earth's superheroes by capturing the group? The data collected should provide a sufficent historical basis for the Skrulls being able to effectively infiltrate the hero community, in the present day.

Re: New Avengers 31-Marvel's next big event...

Tony's not a skrull, but his armor is. :D That's why he Voltroned into Mrs. Ultron.

Hell. Yes.

You guys are crazy.

That was totally out of left field, implies major changes/problems in the Marvel U as we know it, and brings together at least 2 sort of "areas" of the Marvel U that to my knowledge have never met (cosmic/Skrulls and Elektra/The Hand).

What possible interest would the Skrulls (or *A* Skrull) have in impersonating Elektra? Can't wait to find out.

I so hope that the Elektra that came back under Frank Millar was a Skrull. This whole time.

And, to boot, the Cage baby is a Skrull too? Is the real baby kidnapped, or was it born from Jessica Jones a Skrull?

All this griping...you guys are nuts.
