I picked up a couple of hte new Transformers toys, for my son of course.

We got the new Bumblebee and the new Starscream, and a new version of Devistator/Constructicons which I think is just an extra...they don't seem to be part of the movie.

It's pretty interesting how different they are from the old toys. The old ones had some metal parts; these are all plastic but they seem better put together. There's no decals on them, which I hated about the old ones because if there was ever a battle in a lake...er...ocean, the decals all came off.

The drawback is that pieces seem to pop off more often whereas the old ones might as well have been made of titanium...those things ever seemed to break. But at least the new ones don't break, they just pop off. Easily fixed.

It's not the same as having the old toys, but they are still pretty cool. I'll be getting more.

For my son, of course.

Hopefully they are releasing these in waves and there are more to come. And hopefully I'll be able to find Grimlock soon...he's listed on the Devistator package but I can't seem to find him anywhere.

I have a Classic Optimus prime on my shelf (missing the hands though, ****ing detachable hands!)

Another thing I hated about the old toys.

Devistator was the worst...you had the 6 Constructicons, and then all these stupid pieces - his head, a chest plate, a piece connecting the torso and legs, the hands...what a pain.

On the new one, the hands and feet are separate pieces, but the head is part of the top/shoulders. I hated snapping that stupid thing on.

Did anyone see the transforming guns toy from the new move? I saw the commercial and just thought "awesome" What it is ia the truck form of Optimus, you insert your hand and it transforms into Optimus' hand with a gun very quickly

Yeah , The new ones that do have metal though like Titanium series are great.

i still have like all my old Beast Wars toys which were awesome

my little brother just got the new Protoform Optimus Prime to for the movie, he keeps making me transform it for him because he threw away the instructions

one problem with the plastic transformers is that alot of the time the joints are too loose and they can't stand properly, with the old die-cast transformers you didn't really get that

Of the old Transformers toys I had a blue Grimlock, and my brother had a green Slag (the triceratops) but I had tons of Beast Wars toys, eventually I gave them to charity. I wonder if those kids ever figured them out...

To this day I still have the complete Devistator Transformer.

ME and Doom saw this in Philly and orgasmed over it

So do I. The hook on the crane guy is broken but I have all of the guys and pieces.

Except the gun. I have it but I'm not sure which storage box it's in.

For your son, of course... :p

Of course. I would never play with Transformers. I certainly would never make the transforming noise while I transform them. I certainly have never attempted to perfect Soundwave's voice.

You can ask Doom, I was so mad at myself for forgetting about the Autobot Casette plater Blaster.

So so mad.

Though, after mentioning him we remembered his casettes, a Rhino, a Lion and a Humaniod.

I still ahve the rhino around here somewhere... I never could get Blaster's chest plate to open.

We are the same, you and I.

I got the new Ironhide. For my son, of course.

I can't believe how hard some of these guys are to transform. The Devistator is really hard, especially the head/torso guy.

Er, that's what my son thinks.

The last Transformers toy I bought was the Cheetah guy from Beast Wars, whatever his name was. It was pretty neat, I suppose. I had tons of old Transformers toys, but I don't know what happened to them. My favorite character was Bumblebee and my dad finally bought me a Bumblebee toy, but it was red. Note, this wasn't Cliffjumper, this was a red Bumblebee. I was upset. Now, I realize it is a rare and valuable toy. Oh well.

My friend still has Fortress Maximus on display in his upstairs bathroom.

Do they have easy to loose essential parts? Cause it aint transformers unless there's easy to loose essential parts

Devastator is supposedly in the movie, although he's pretty different from the original Devastator (He's basically just a regular Decepticon). I think it was stated that, if Transformers gets a sequel (Which I wouldn't doubt, seeing as the early reviews for it are calling it the suprise hit of the summer), Constructicons would appear.
