Justice Society of America discussion (Spoilers!)

The only other John's story I've read is Booster Gold, and I know he writes stories for the emotional impact of it. I know it's good writing, but at the same time, it hurts to read the breakdown of it all.

Granted, I don't know how it's going to end.

Alex Ross should ink his pencils more often. The art in the Kingdom Come special was fantastic.

The writing wasn't too bad either.

The Magog special was quite bloody. Lots of killing. It wasn't as good as the KC Superman one.

I did like the Starman back up though. Apparently he's already experienced the Legion of 3 Worlds and he has to go to a cemetery to save the future or something.

Superman and Starman take Gog's head to the Source Wall to put it with the other New Gods from the Third World. Then Starman takes Superman back to Earth-22 where we see the final scenes from Kingdom Come play out. It also shows what happens in various time periods afterwards in which Superman is present for all of them. I want to see more of this future world. It looked interesting.

I am glad this arc is over. It seemed to drag on. Bring on Black Adam!

Billy Batson's father is taking The Flash to... THE ROCK OF FINALITY!

Also, I was unsure of Willingham and Sturges on JSA but the Origins and Omens showed a few interesting things to come...

I just finished the second volume of Thy Kingdom Come and I loved it. I like that they can do totally bat**** insane things with these characters; it makes for a less predictable story.

I don't really get the significance of Power Girl going to see Mr. Terrific in the alternate universe she's in, but I suppose it will be explained in the next volume.

Having so many characters "fixed" by Gog was cool, but their reactions were even better, particularly Starman not liking that he can think straight, and Damage trying to get in Judomaster's pants. And I love that everyone is just kind of following Gog around waiting for him to do something wrong.

This book is crazy. The team is constantly expanding and there are a million things going on.

Yeah, I love how Johns breaks the traditional structure of teams which normally have about 10 members exactly and just goes "**** that, I want 30 people! This is a society!"

I'm going to miss Johns on JSA. :(

When is he leaving?
