New Mutants isn't out yet.
True, but it's still relevant. According to the XMM Wiki, they were going to have the young Prof X and Storm in a cameo, assuming it's source was reliable.
Even as a parody, Deadpool managed to connect with the films at different points.

Deadpool 2 featured the "Essex House for Mutant Rehabilitation".
Key-word: Essex.
Essex Corp was referenced in the after-credits scene of X-Men: Apocalypse.

It seems that they were setting up for Mr. Sinister in the series.

Since Deadpool breaks the fourth wall, shouldn't it be dis-counted though?

I wouldn't necessarily compare convoluted comic book continuity with film. Just my opinion.
True, although I'd argue the Deadpool films are the least of this universes problems (Dark Phoenix plot holes, Wolverines claws from The Wolverine-DoFP, Mystique and Wolverine DoFP-Apocalypse, etc).

As soon as I can get a means to watch The Gifted season two (probably after the Arrowverse timeline is fully updated), I'll fix the "Original" X-Men timeline placements.
Shame that the whole show was just needless set up for Days of Future Past.

I'm going to hold off on the Legion timeline until the series ends next month or so, because I'm unsure if they're really setting it in any particular time period or if the show will end with it all being in David's mind, with 'flashbacks' disconnected from time; or at least our form of time. Which, to be honest, would make the timeline so much easier to organize. ;)

By now, it may be pointless to continue these X-Men timelines by this point, but I've already started on them. Now I gotta finish them and close the book on this franchise.

I am still curious if The Gifted is actually intended to be in-canon with the movie franchise.

Apparently it's seperate, but cast have said that it would fit before X-Men: Days of Future Past. Some dates in the show that are given seem in line with the placement of the movies... sorta. The show also set up a "Days of Future Past" future at the end of S2.

So, you tell me.

Until the series is over, or a major contradiction occurs, I guess we can't judge it yet.

I feel like if Marvel really didn't want The Gifted to be wasted, the series ending with Blink creating a portal could easily be retconned, in another Marvel property, as a door way to the MCU rather than the (DoFP) future. As much as I found the series too depressing for my tastes, I enjoyed some of the characters, especially Blink and Polaris, and I'd hate for them to be forgotten in a throwaway seres.
A literal transition from one dead universe to a thriving one would be a brilliant retcon IMO. Especially since comic Blink can hop to different universes, if I remember correctly.

Don't hold your breath, but it's a fun thought.

Updated the LEGION timeline, but it contains massive spoilers that I can't hide unfortunately...

Still need to add more to it.

So I finally saw X-Men: Dark Phoenix the other day. I liked it, but knowing it's the last of the Fox X-Men, it wasn't really a good ending to the series. I'm guessing New Mutants (and future Deadpool movies) will be in the MCU now.

Anyway, so I was going through the ages of the main characters (Wolverine, Rouge, Iceman and all of the other younger characters don't really matter as they are always played by the same actors) and I came up with this. I came up with the character ages using a combination of birthdates from https://xmenmovies.fandom.com/wiki/X-Men_Movies_Wiki , the actor's age, movie dialouge and the actor's ages. Some I just guessed at/ made up, like the 3 actresses that played Kitty Pryde. I'd also like to think that the different versions of Trask, Psylocke, Angel, Emma, Toad, Jubilee and Yukio are different characters, with the ones with the most prominent screentime as the "real" versions. And the time travel schnanigans changed only Deadpool's birthdate (maybe). Colossus and Juggernaut could still work, they just "bulked up". Anyway, here's what I came up with. Man, the "prequels" really needed to "age up" Beast, Havok, Magneto and Prof X. Not Moira and Raven, because why not. Weird having a different actor for Stryker right in the middle there, but Origins is better ignored anyway.

Character age (actor age, if different)
William Stryker

1979: Age 34 (47)

2006: Age 19
2023: Age 36 (27)
Caliban
1983: Age 39
2029: Age 85 (43)

Also, the new timeline now has each decade from 60's to 90s covered, with about 10 year intervals.
1962
1973
1983
1992

Would be cool to make an all-in one fanedit of X1-3 into one movie to take care of the 2003 era and connect to the ending of DoFP and Logan. Somehow have Charles come back, Logan and Rouge happens about the same way (maybe not Sabertooth) but they go to the Jean Grey school. Mystique would have to be removed entirely, and of course we need X3 for Beast. The statue of liberty scene would be largely the same. Anyway, might be fun to try.

Wade Wilson from X-Men Origins: Wolverine is, in my head-canonical opinion, a different character, Wade's father. I remember having a bunch of stuff to support this, but I'll try my best to remember it. I think I got the idea from Reddit, maybe, but I took it and found more information that supports this idea and corrects the error.

Firstly, they obviously look the same. In Deadpool, there were only strands of mutant DNA in Wade Wilson Jr.. This would be because his father was a mutant. He had a poor relationship with his father, who he said bailed on him, when in actuality disappeared because of the Weapon XI project.

It can be assumed that in the revised timeline, the confrontation between Wade Wilson and James Howlett still occur, though the events of X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the year the event took place may not. In a slightly newer version of this event in the revised timeline, Wade Wilson shoots Wade Wilson, supposedly killing him for the pain he gave him in his childhood, though he may have a healing factor like he did in the original timeline.

An explanation of cable's time travel is that it is a controlled method where if one thing changes time is kept mostly the same, an anti-butterfly effect. This is how Deadpool is able to save Vanessa and still save Peter and the events of the movie still happen except Deadpool's motivation is different, pahaps a quest to prove he can be a reliable father.

In Deadpool 2, the X-Men simply look young, though it's possible it takes place in the 1990s via the Year of the Dog, but I personally prefer the 2010 based on technology advancement and that Xavier has returned to the X-Mansion which has returned to it's correct name. It also can't be in the 2020s because of Firefists age not lining up with the birth of the last mutant.

Also, Dark Phoenix isn't the finale to the X-Men Movie Universe, Logan is, Dark Phoenix is before it and can and should be watched in that order since the stories are largely unrelated. That's my take to make myself feel better, anyway.

A timeline:
1962 - X-Men: First Class
1979 - X-Men Origins: Wolverine
2003 - X-Men
2003 - X2: X-Men United
2006 - X-Men: The Last Stand
2013 - The Wolverine: Unleashed Extended Edition
1973 - X-Men: Days of Future Past
1983 - X-Men: Apocalypse
1992 - Dark Phoenix
2009 - Deadpool
2010 - Deadpool 2: Super Duper $@%!#& Cut
2020 - The New Mutants mutants are oddly unknown
2029 - Logan

I actually find it fun to fix the errors in this universe. Of cause, the age problem is not going away...

Me too! I love your placement of everything there too, just missing the 2023 ending of DoFP. Why'd you put Last Stand in 2003, just to fix Jean Grey's age, or was that a typo? 2006 was also a year of the dog, so that works for your 2009 DP placement too. I still say that New Mutants is the now perfect way to introduce mutants to the MCU, and the title would have double meaning now. New (to the MCU ) Mutants. But we'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

It's 2006, whoops.

That's what I figured. Anyway, I like that idea of having the guy in Origins as Wade Wilson Sr. Though the Weapon X program would happen a little later, due to interference from Raven posing as Stryker. It was moved from 1979 to 1983, according to Apocalypse. If we consider the "joke" post credits scenes from DP2 as canon, when does Deadpool kill his "father", it's gotta be after 1983, right? If it's not canon, does the WW "Sr." experiment even happen? It was assumed the time travel would've cancelled "The Merc with No Mouth". Now if DP2's post credit scenes are considered canon, did he also kill Ryan Reynolds the actor?

Anyway, if we assume Ryan Reynolds and modern Deadpool are the same age, this would put his birthdate at around 1969 (if we have DP1 in 2009). Jean Grey's is 1967 if she was 8 in 1975. Both of these dates are before Wolverine time travels, so they can't be changed. I think we should move X3's 1986 scene to 1981 to both match the actress' age and her character's age in the 1975 car crash.

Yes, it would be after 1983.
If it wasn't canon, probably not, though they confirmed it's canonical.
Yes, Deadpool murdered Ryan Reynolds.

So 20 years ago means 25? Guess it works...

Yeah, I mean you really can't make the 14 yr old actress look/ act like she's 19, so really the only solution is to make it 25 years ago.

Hey guys, I'm very obsessed about timelines and I found out a way to eliminate some age problems in this saga.
Everybody thinks that time travel can only change the events that happened after the travel, but what if in this universe all the timeline changes somehow, something like Flashpoint, and alters all the ages of the characters and even their appearances?
This way there is at least two timelines, the first one starting with X-Men Origins and then going to X-Men (totally ignoring First Class). This way we fix the age of Moira and even her heritage, and also a lot of character birthdays or appearances like Emma Frost. Then everything goes normal up to Days of the Future Past (considering Wolvering got his claws again somehow and Xavier got a new body).
Then, we could consider the start of the second timeline. Somehow, the past has changed and all the characters change. First Class happens and next we go to Days of the Future Past. Then Apocalypse happens and finally Dark Phoenix and Logan (maybe Deadpool).
What do you guys think?

X-Men: First Class is firmly in the original timeline as well as the revised timeline, but I like the idea of Flashpoint. It would require an event between The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past to create a new universe. Pahaps that's how Wolverine has his claws again, though his memory flashes of X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the original trilogy make it difficult.

I think I can solve the Colossus Deadpool Deadpool problem, which exists because in the revised 2023 he is in his human form.

Colossus in the original timeline was canonically mutated from the Chernobyl incident. In the revised timeline, pahaps his powers came naturally as either Chernobyl never happened or he wasn't there. This means he grew bigger and stronger. The X-Men, similar to in 1992, are regarded as heroes in the late 2000s. Comic books were made about them, as seen in Logan, and this is where Colossus gets an idea. In the comics, Colossus is always in his metal form, and the people of the world boost his ego enough that he chooses to stay in this form in his free time and public. It's similar to Mystique always being blue, it feels right. This only changes when there are students to teach, and he takes up a lot of space in the crowded halls of the Mansion, occasionally bumbing into and hurting students, similar to walking into a metal wall. He also has a Russian accent, maybe being raised in Russia in the new reality.

Is anyone else annoyed that The Gifted supposedly isn't connected dispite how perfectly it fits in? The amount of dates that line up, the finales teaser for Days of Future Past in season 3, it was set up perfectly. I think I'm going to consider it canon anyway, since a lot of cast and crew have said things that imply it could connect.

https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/...eal-season-2-connection-x-men-movies-magneto/"Each character that is that big, they also have to go through a series of hoops to get… you know, to be allowed to bring it into our show," Blair Redford, who plays John Proudstar/Thunderbird on the show, told Digital Spy

"And I get it. The films… if there's a chance they're going to use it in the next five years, they want everything to be on the same page, so that they're not doubling up on characters. I think that's kind of important."

He added: "I mean, that's always going to be part of the tone on the show – and that we exist within that world. What the direct connection will be in this season? I don't know. [But] I enjoy that stuff. So I hope that we can colour it with an X-Men storyline.

"But as far as other characters? I mean, if they've established them in the films, it's kind of hard to bring them in."

Another possibility is Alex Summers/Havok (Lucas Till), who has a relationship with Lorna Dane/Polaris in the comics, with Redford revealing: "They shoot MacGyver [starring Lucas Till] here in the same city, so we don't have time…"

"Yeah, we really just can't have them," Dumont said. "Also, Alex and Lorna were a horrible couple. They were very bad for each other!

"I mean, if it were up to us, and if we didn't have contractual things and legal whatever blah blah blah franchise nonsense? I'd want Magneto in the show. We want the X-Men."

Redford added: "But I think it's also important that we're telling an original story, too. We want to make our own mark within the realm of mutant lore, and the realm of X-Men lore.

"So yeah, I think there's a happy medium there. Hopefully, we can touch on it in an interesting way where we can. But I know our writers want to forge new stuff that no one's experienced before."

As for where The Gifted may fit in the X-Men timeline, Dumont mused: "Well, I will say… yeah. I mean, the movies don't even align – let's be honest. Honestly, they mostly do align, actually...

"Sometimes, the comics don't align at all. It's totally different. What I will say, we could fit… well, we have many Sentinels. Obviously it'd be before the future part of Days [of Future Past]."

Personally, this is my prefered timeline of items.

Does anyone have a solution for the 15 years since Wolverine lost his memory problem? The Two Mile Island incident happened in 1979, in real life at least, and X-Men is in the near future of it's release. How can it be 15 years in X2?

X-Men: First Class is firmly in the original timeline as well as the revised timeline, but I like the idea of Flashpoint. It would require an event between The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past to create a new universe. Pahaps that's how Wolverine has his claws again, though his memory flashes of X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the original trilogy make it difficult.
But how First Class is firmly set in the original timeline if contradicts X-Men Origins and the X-Men Trilogy???
Moira is a totally different character, Xavier and Mystique doesn't seem to have any connection in the first trilogy and suddenly they have a sibling relationship, Cerebro is built by Beast in First Class but in the Trilogy is said that it was Xavier and Magneto that build it, and Emma Frost appears in both First Class and Origins as two different characters (with essentially the same name and same powers), among other contradictions.
How can First Class be set in the original timeline if it doesn't match with the other films?? The only films that seem to be in the same continuity are those of the revised timeline. So in my point of view, somehow First Class is set only in the revised timeline.

Impossible. The timeline changed in 1973.

"Moira is a totally different character, Xavier and Mystique doesn't seem to have any connection in the first trilogy and suddenly they have a sibling relationship"
People change over time. It's a retcon.

"Cerebro is built by Beast in First Class but in the Trilogy is said that it was Xavier and Magneto that build it"
Magneto helped build the one from the original trilogy, he didn't build the prototype from X-Men: First Class.

"Emma Frost appears in both First Class and Origins as two different characters (with essentially the same name and same powers)"
They're different characters completely. The one from X-Men: First Class is Emma Frost, the one from X-Men Origins: Wolverine is Emma Silverfox and lacks Frost's telepathic abilities.

"among other contradictions."
I'll fix for you if you stated them.

Not sure if I should put this on the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline page or this one, but it's safer here considering these are X-Men franchises even though Deadpool will probably join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Rumour, probably false, possibly not.

I'd put Deadpool another 12 years in the future, around 2030 to 2033 for the next "Year of the Dog". Gives plenty of room for the X-Men to show up before then in the MCU.
IF it was in the MCU.

I'll update this whole timeline with Legion and the Revised timeline (The Gifted included) for the XCU at some point...right now I'm focusing on the DC timelines.
