I'd like to do Kung Fu Panda eventually. I remember awhile back there was a leak by one of the people working at DreamWorks where they mention that the movies and shows are 2 separate canons because they're competing teams or whatever. Which is silly but I guess explains why the producer of the Dragon Knight show said that show was noncanon. If I did a timeline I'd probably do it from the perspective of the TV Show canon universe since the shows still reference the events of the movies so theoretically that can be the universe where everything happens

Looking at Mario Teaches Typing, the title screen shows Mario at a computer and the game itself has you as a nameless student so I could possibly see like, it maybe being an in-universe game? So you could probably put it on the timeline with an [in-universe Fiction] marker

Well, I have the other Mario Teaches games on here (not with the same name-scheme obviously, but still) so I guess I’ll take another look at MTT. From what I remember Mario was essentially inside the computer as part of the program, but I haven’t seen gameplay of it in a while so I could be misremembering. Though, if “games” like these don’t really connect, simply saying “in-universe game” doesn’t really sit right with me because you’d be ignoring the fact that it doesn’t fit anywhere in the timeline and justifying it by saying “What if the game is actually a game?” Of course there are times where this isn’t the case, but it’s usually glaringly obvious that it’s supposed to be an in-universe game

The title screens shows Mario at a computer and the title is Mario TEACHES typing so I feel like it's somewhat implied

Well, I am a Teacher: Super Mario Sweater has 'I am a teacher' in the name and has no plot whatsoever, you just draw the crochet (definitely not the way to describe it, sorry to any knitters) then print it out and use it to knit a sweater of the Mario characters, only the game also tells you how to knit. But not with Mario, the only thing Mario-related is name and pre-made sweater designs. But for all those people classing the mainline Mario games as those with 'Super Mario' in the name...
