DC's Non-DCAU Animated Timelines

While I'm at it, let's also break down "X" and his relation to Jason Todd, who exists in this universe as seen when Beast Boy is theorizing the identity of "X". I understand this is just a theory and was never confirmed in-universe. But I do believe Jason Todd exists in "Teen Titans" and X is this universe's version of The Red Hood.

Since Jason Todd is seen on Beast Boy's board, that means the character exists in this universe. The following theory could be an explanation for this: "Red X" is Jason Todd, who served as the second Robin after Dick Grayson moved to Jump City in "Go!" sometime after "The Batman" Season 5. Similar to the comics, The Joker would end up killing him and Bruce Wayne would later resurrect him. Possibly with his anti-Vampirism vaccine he developed when curing The Joker during his time as a Vampire in "The Batman VS. Dracula".

The vampire-aspect makes sense when considering Red X never shows his skin and has weapons resembling blood, such as the projectile-X that turns into liquid. This also means Red X must have made them himself and it's a skill Batman likely taught him.

The reason Jason Todd might have moved to Jump City and mimicked his predecessor's darker alter ego would be to regain his calling and meaning in life as a crime-fighter, which is why he ultimately decides to back out of "The Brotherhood Of Evil" in "Teen Titans'.

My answer is I will not separate The Batman & Teen Titans if the opposition also holds certain "connections" in high regard that aren't really connections.

For the most part, we all are condensing things.

What's the evidence that these two are connected?
It's more than just a fan theory. First of all, both are DC animated productions that aired at the same time. It is my personal belief that The Batman, Legion Of Superheroes and Teen Titans all share a universe and were meant to the be successor to the original DCAU.

See my previous posts in here about Killer Moth and Slade.

The short version is that a very real connection can be made between Rumor and Slade. Both are voiced by Ron Perlman and both share many of the same physical appearances. In Season three of Teen Titans, one could argue that Slade references his first fight with Robin when he used cloaking technology as seen in The Batman episode "Rumors".

Perhaps the strongest evidence comes from this comic. Batman's design is clearly the same as it was in The Batman. The shows also aired concurrently and are clearly separate from the original DCAU that was still airing at the time.

Also in Teen Titans, Robin's Birdarang's are nearly the exact same he uses in The Batman.

At the end of the day, "canon" is a very loose term that can mean different things to different folks. Seeing that this is all entirely fiction, like James Gunn recently told IGN.

In other words, there is no problem with making this connection. I have done it and it works without issue.

That's something the viewer might infer. Not much evidence.

It also looks the same as Young Justice and Beware the Batman. The Justice League design in those same comics resemble the DCAU Justice League.

They look nothing alike, to be honest with you.

That's okay, nothing wrong to have a different personal interpretation. I like this theory, don't get me wrong. It's just not confirmed and the connections are fan theories.

It all depends on how you define "evidence".

I am aware that those comics vary in design. Perhaps the comic that features the League is set in the DCAU!

I think the birdarangs look nearly identical, minus some color variation. I guess that's in the eye of the beholder.

I don't have time to explain stuff in depth right now but I have several explanations in line with what Dallas is arguing.

You can agree or disagree, I don't really care. The archetypes are too similar for it to be ignored, and I just figured "Why not? It's not 100% objective but MOST DC fans are in favor of the idea so why not just have 'two-in-one'?"

As for the different ways of how Grayson's parents' died - wasn't the one in TT like a vision/memory thing that couldn't have been entirely accurate?

Raven is in Dick's head I believe and discovers memories he has of key events in his life.
