Re: Scott Pilgrim

Wow, Edgar Wright is apparently the watcher.
The thing I actually laughed about was how they just put Wright's parking tag over the production designer. They didn't even take it down. It's like they left it up so people can laugh at him. Haha.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

So, I just picked up the second volume.

Excuse me.

*gets sledgehammer*

*breaks down fourth wall*

Knives Chau, I am going to give you a hug and there is nothing you can do about it!

Also, the scene where she bleaches her hair felt like Two-Face meets Juno. Or maybe that's just me.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

Got the new volume. It's amazing. I've read it three times since yesterday... More thoughts to follow.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

I got my first scott pilgrim volume signed today. O'Malley drew a little Scott Pilgrim face on it. It is awesome.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The Panel from NYCC

Had to find it from a smaller site, since apparently it wasn't cool enough to show up on the first run of CBR and Newsarama's coverage.

Apparently Cera is working out well in the movie, and O'Malley says he's capable of a lot more than people give him credit for.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

I am rereading Scott Pilgrim. It is wonderful.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

So today I decided to give this a shot and I bought Scott Pilgrim vol 1. Though I don't know when I'll actually read it.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

So I just read this and... meh. There were a few really funny parts and it was good overall. The fight scene was just so random and out of place. It was just "oh by the way this guy can fight and everyone teams up when crazy Demon Hipster Girls show up out of no where. I'm sure it gets better and I'll eventually read the other volumes but it just didn't grab me that much.

It gets better. At least in my opinion.

Re: Scott Pilgrim

BLASPHEMY!!!!!

Keep reading. If you read through volume 3 and still don't like it, you are a heartless demon monster.

That's what I figured, slow start strong follow through

Does that mean I'd have to start causing chaos and ruining the village's harvest if my need for sacrifice is not fulfilled?

Re: Scott Pilgrim

I burst out laughing when the fight kicked off. It's just so deliciously random and yet... the moon logic kinda makes a whole lot of sense.

Hell, there's a bit, long before, where Ramona 'explains' that she takes a subspace bypass through Scott's dreams and dismisses it as something Canada isn't aware of yet!

Yeah, very true to really life. I loved when Scott first approaches Ramona at the party and says something weird and they both make this hilariously awkward face
