New Spidey game in the works!

Spider-Man Friend or Foe coming Fall 2007.

I really hope this is better than Spider-man 3. Not to much info yet, but they have a site up, check it out.

Kinda looks like this is the "spider-man trilogy" that we've been hearing about.

Kick ***. Been waiting for this. Yeah looks like it is the spider-man trilogy game i kept mentioning. I wish they added which consoles this on. I'm praying for wii (360 and ps3 too but I only have a wii since I got rid of 360)

WTF?

The video and the tagline are weird, but if the game is basically a drastically enhanced and improved version of Spider-Man 2, I'll be happy.

I wonder will the movie cast do the voices or will they bring in new, cheaper voice actors? Either way would suit me fine. I like Tobey in the movie games (especially because he's a lot more like the wisecracking Spidey of the comics), but I liked the guy in the Ultimate Spider-Man game as well, not to mention Rino Romano, who did the voice for the old PSOne games (and the Spider-Man Unlimited cartoon).

I will guess not sure but if it replays through 1 , 2 and 3 then might used recycled dialogue from 1 , 2 and 3 games to save money.

yeah it does... maybe it is. But it would be nice if thay added more villians and friends, even if its just cameos.

I mean it was kind of fun teaming up with the Black Cat in the Spider-Man 2 game. I think it would be fun if maybe Iceman, or Firestar, or even any of the other Marvel Heroes showed up.

It doesn't have to be a team-Up it could be like in the Punisher game when Frank was at Stark IN. and we got to see Iron man do a fly by.

To me that means they will add things like black cat , villains , I hoping extra costumes too like say comic ones.

I just noticed the graphics/art

At first I thought rough shot but since it's coming out this year it must the real art. I looked closer and it more cartoony.

Could this be their way of making a spider-man game that is Lego Star wars style?

Will this be a sandbox game? Regardless of how disappointed some people were at Spidey 3, I think the only way to do a Spider-Man game these days is to make it sandbox. It's not like they couldn't fit all three movies into the one game, either. Look at San Andreas; that had well over a hundred missions.

I agree this needs freeroam


I also think it needs


  • Extra costumes (wrestling , black , scarlet spider - movie concept , Iron spider - movie concept and more hopefully alex ross's spider-man from first game with kick *** goblin if you picked him)
  • Unlock characters (New goblin , green goblin , doc ock , venom and maybe a few more like wolverine or something)
  • More villains from comics showing up with different story to when they showed up in 1 2 or 3 games

I totally agree with all of this. I only hope that costumes and characters are more easily unlockable. I have no interest in collecting bloody tokens and doing countless mundane challenges. I still haven't managed to unlock ANYTHING in USM other than the 'wrestling costume' (basically the standard Spidey costume without the webs on it). Why can't we just 'buy' these things with Hero Points or something?

As a rule, it seems that all Spider-man games must suck. I honestly cannot say that I have never enjoyed one. I'm thinking that this one will be the same.

Spider-Man 2 is one of my all-time favourite games.

If you thought that all of the Spider-Man games sucked, you must want to stab yourself playing some of the dire Superman games.

Tokens work if they unlock stuff. But all they did on Spider-man 2 was give you a percentage and on 3 give you a percentage and a "congratulations" message. I was so pissed off completing 2 and collecting all the tokens for it to do Nothing.

But buy with points is better. Spider-man 2 had a costume shop but it never actually opened. A costume shop that sold costumes for points would be good.



Another thing I want to include in these games is Villain random crime. Say I beat shocker. later on why can't one of the random crimes be Shocker has escaped from prison. Stop him!

Or have the villains comeback but randomly seek revenge by attacking you during free roam.

Funny you should say that, because I actually did encounter Shocker in USM, in a random crime. I beat him easily (just like in story mode), but it was still a lot more satisfying running into a supervillain.

I completely agree with you by the way. There's no reason why there shouldn't be random supervillain encounters in the game, as long as there's OTHER things as well. We all remember Superman Returns...

agreed. like Spider-man's 2 random crimes but only now and again will the villains commit crimes / try to kill you

I just saw the graphics for the game in the new GamePro I got yesterday...and it's F*ING HORRIBLE. GOD. AWEFUL.

While I could pass as Green Goblin looking like he did in Spider-Man 1, he still looks bad, bad, bad in the graphics. Venom is worse. I mean seriously, who the hell thought this would be good?
