I can totally see John Krasinski as Captain America.

I cannot see Willem Dafoe as Batman. That's a weird one.

I remember that being a rumour. There were jokes about Dwight as the Red Skull and Cap occasionally looking at the camera and raising his eyebrows.

Yeah, the legal rights issues would be a nightmare to navigate, I shouldn't wonder.

If anything will motivate them to figure out the legal obstacles it's the mountains upon mountains of money that such a movie would make. I doubt it'll happen, but I don't think it's inconceivable.

Letting Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch reference Magneto and other X-Men characters would be a great way to do it. Singer using Quicksilver in DOFP probably gets in the way of that anyway.
