Man - in the Gate galaxy, I couldn't jump on 'em.
But I think the Goombas don't die. They poof into star bits. Which makes them happy. They don't seem happy as a Goomba. Plus, goombas are mushrooms and have no skulls or bones. ^___^

But seriously I'll tell you what I miss from Mario games and I might of mentioned it before but co-op/vs from get go. Like mario 3 and Mario world.

Completely agree.
Imagine a 2 (or even 4!) player co-op Mario game (including online play over the Wii). Wide open levels, bunches of Goombas and Koopas, special powers for each character to achieve certain objectives, etc.
That would be Super Fun!
And it should include, as a bonus level, a 3D recreation of the original Mario Bros. on the Atari and other early systems. This is the game where two players as Mario and Luigi battle in the brick and pipe room as Koopas, Crabs, Ghost, etc pop out of the top pipes and make their way down. With each defeated enemy, a coin pops out of the pipes. First to 5 wins. Surely most of you know what I'm talking about?
Well, a 3D bonus level of that in my fantasy multi-player Mario game is a must.

I'm sure that's what they'll do for the next one. I think they'll be desperate for something brand new for the Mario series in order to follow Galaxy, and online play is a good one.

I hope so. Online multiplayer is a direction they've never taken the Mario games, and I think the general gameplay of the Mario series would be well suited for it. Cooperating to take out enemies and perform special moves, fighting over power-ups, etc.
