Pretty much. But it's less totemic than the groups you mentioned above. They are the literal manifestation of abstract human concepts.

I loved the second issue.

Batman arguing with the Alpha Lantern and Clayface blowing up the Daily Planet were the best scenes.

I had an idea that martian manhunter and aquaman did the same "rebirth in the past" thing as the gods did. Just cuz they're both dead now and they were both watching from the shadows in the justice league in Meltzer's last issue 'monitor duty'. and they were both in their old costumes, not the water hand or the martian trueform. Theres probably not much weight to this theory as I'm reading most of it from that one issue....but if it's what's happening you heard it here first.

Edit: Scratch that completely - I looked out the issue in question and they're in the modern costumes....just a little aquaman continuity error, since he was the dweller of the depths at that point.

DC's website has Final Crisis #3 coming out on the 6th of August, which means it's supposedly delayed a week.

Though Jones is apparently drawing 3 pages a day in order to keep up.

According to Final Crisis: Requiem, Martian Manhunter took the guise of African-America migrant worker Josh Johnstone and worked on the Kent farm when Clark was a boy...

What? What the hell?

I just googled it and it appears that is what has always happened? I don't like it at all.

Requiem was pretty cool.

I enjoyed the expanded Death scene.



I loved while all the villains are getting killed, Batman is making out with Talia.

The final page of FC - Rogue's Revenge made the entire mini and the crappy written stuff leading to it.
