oh man, this was the worst issue yet...I was expecting I don't know something, inventive for the jump. This read like poor fan-boys, Y-the last man in the DCU. it could be any number of things that cause the apocolype. And the article X thing ...superhero conscription? I wonder what would happen if some of the heroes didn't want to register? I'm sure there's a story to be had ther.

THe libra, human flame, luthor scene was real good. an this issue had it's moments. Actually most of it was really good. Like the flashes scenes, the article X thing WAS good and the shilo norman and big sumo characters are awsome. THose characters are gonna shape up something fantastic in the new DCU. The Question / Frankenstein bit was ok...I love the question but really had no idea what was going on here. maybe it'd make sense if i knew the seven soldiers bit of frankenstein, but it shouldn't have to.

Thankss for the rollcall zombipanda - I wasn't sure who the figure on the left was, but yeah it's probably batwoman...she's all goth and her head's at a funy angle. It's a pretty stupid last page though. underwhelmed...though it's still good

You don't need to know the bit of Seven Soldiers Frankenstein. All that does it shows how Frankenstein ends up working for Shade. That's not needed to know what's going on here.

And they said that what happens in the gap will be explained by the minis and one shots.

So Superman now has, "keep wife's heart beating" vision. Huh.

I like how Catwoman's dog has a mask like hers. It's like it's trying to be a cat. "I am a man-eating monster from space who is a little unclear on my species. Fear me."

Also, is the Supergirl supposed to be from the Earth where Superman is a Nazi?

:D Yeah. I was going to comment on the goofy leather wrestling mask the bulldog is wearing. I think it's great.

Yes. She was also one of the characters being sketched by Nix Uotan in the last issue.

I finally read issue three today and it was awesome. Way better than the previous two. It's starting to feel big now.

So, maybe it's an unintentional difference, but my copies so far look like they're getting darker with each issue. I think the trade dress is fading from red into black.

I think morrison said the covers would change through out the issues, in one of his interviews.

I remember an interview with the guy who did the design for the trade dress, and he said there was going to be some evolving element over the course of the series with the covers.... I'm guessing that's it.

The art in Revelations was pretty.

The story showed us not much, other than the death of Dr. Light. As he tried to rape hookers dressed up as superheroes no less.

I really liked Revelations. I think it started better than the main mini did.

I am very interested in the dynamic between Spectre and Question.


And that Libra-Spectre scene. Chills.

Final Crisis #3 was aweeeesooooome.

Seriously, three issues in and it's been non-stop goodness with the excitement not letting down. I love this! I want more. But now having to wait 'til October with September being another gap month....argh!


Is it October yet?

I know August was originally just the gap month. Then July's issue got delayed until the first week of August. Then I saw no issue in September on some website, but that October would have both #4 & 5.


Maybe they want to make sure JG Jones draws it all? I thought I read something somewhere about another possible artist that might have to come on board to keep things from getting too delayed or something.

It doesn't seem to me that it's a "gap month". From what I can tell, when the delays started hitting, they dropped the whole idea of the gap month. Now they seem to be on a pretty steady month-and-a-half release schedule.

And Carlos Pachecho has been confirmed to be helping Jones.
