The Walking Dead (Image) [SPOILERS]

I love everything there is to love about this book, but mostly what I love is the complete lack of status quo.

i've noticed all these wiki sites dedicated to the Marvel or DC universes and certain TV shows and what not, but I could never find a wiki or somethin' like a wiki that was dedicated to The Walking Dead, so i made one and it's up for anyone who wants to add content: http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Walking_Dead_Wiki

Ok....you have a Walking Dead wiki site.

Duly noted.

Now stop spamming the thread with solicits for your site. By all means, talk about the comic all you want....but stop with the site plugs.

Nice Walking Dead wiki.... Its got grand total of 1 article! Weak sauce.

I may be a bit late to post this, but did anyone read #57? You know, the one with the attempted
child rape!!!
. I've been a fan since day 1, own two copies of #1 (one of which kirkman drew dicks all over, and one of which he personally mailed to me!), and I never saw anything like this coming. Ever. Holy sweet rat farts!

I got sick of waiting for the next TPB so I downloaded the issues and I'm all caught up!

Holy ****. That is the only way I can describe this comic. Such a great series.

I need to catch up with Invincible now.

Woah, Rick. Woah.

This comic is so good.

I just started reading this - I read through the first 6 issues.

It's really good. I didn't know anything about it going into it other than it had something to do with zombies. I just read the comments from Robert Kirkman in the thread about the upcoming TV show about how it wasn't about blood and guts - I like that about it. It's more relatable, at least as much as it can be when the story is about zombies.

I don't know if you've given his other Image ongoing, Invincible, a try, but they both work the same way.

Kirkman plots out a staggering amount of story and then tells some of the most though out comics in the industry. No character is wasted, very little is predictable, and the tension ratchets up long term, as the survivors become more and more stressed/twisted by trauma and loss.

Worth sticking with for the long haul.

I'll check it out, thanks.

There will be blood.

That's OK. I don't have an aversion to it or anything. I just liked that the first arc there was semi-serious in tone.

I mean, I liked Zombieland but I don't want every zombie story to be Zombieland.

I understand and I agree with you.

I am just warning you... there will be blood. Lots of it.

Such a great comic.

I really miss the art from the first issues though. There is nothing wrong with the art in the newer issues, but I like the old art better.

So, just read the first 76 issues yesterday and today...got hooked, what can i say?

do you think there is something sinister about the new community? is there something else that we arent being told? i just cant get over the fact that it seems to good to be true.
