Hm.... Yeah that is a bit odd? I guess if we count this then Mario was born in the 70s? And then mid 00s for Dr Luigi then jump to 2014-2015 for MK8? Do we know if this date is in the Japanese manual?
I'm kinda against this just because like. The Year of Luigi was an in-universe event it's mentioned in a lot of the year of Luigi games as well as Dream Team, so I felt like 2013 was the perfect year for Dr Luigi and all those games since that's when the year of Luigi happened IRL too

Again, you're making assumptions of the timeline then taking it as fact. Mario and Luigi can't be born in 1983, due to SimCity. Bowser is only in the NES version of SimCity, meaning Nintendo most likely requested something Mario-related to be in the port, so the Tokyo scenario at the very least should be considered canon. The 30 year frame for Mario/Bowser's feud in Paper Mario only supports Paper Mario following the same events as Mario, if Mario/Bowser's feud was indeed 30 years, which is only assumed based on the assumption Paper Mario follows the same events, which is evident by the 30 year frame given. It's a cyclical argument, requiring more evidence to work. It is well established in the Yoshi games that there only becomes a feud with Bowser and Mario after a prophecy is fulfilled, which Kamek tries to prevent in the Yoshi games. This is not the start of the 30 year frame in Paper Mario, that would be Super Mario Bros. TTYD released 30 years after Super Mario Bros., which is more evidence to support the same events happening in the Paper timeline and Mario timeline, negating the cyclical argument only if the 30 years starts at Super Mario Bros.
Okay... then (based on general dating and the 30 year frame) the Mario Bros. are born in the mid-'50s, which would be during the reign of the Snowman (I forgot their name), then Bowser ages faster (which is a perfectly reasonable assumption to make, since he's of a fictional species in a franchise where another fictional species also ages faster) and defeats the Snowman in his early years of maturity, making him known as a hero in the Mushroom World, until the events of Super Mario Bros. While Mario and Luigi do start using Power Stars, they continue to have annual birthdays (though they are mostly ceremonial) hence why they are celebrating their 30th birthday, despite barely aging in actuality
Well dang I guess I can't ignore it. I guess movie Dr Luigi earlier in the timeline and still letting the Switch era games be set years later allows Orbulons age to actually make sense between games because I know he implies a 15 year gap between the original WW and Gold. I guess if we didn't have to move the timeline around like this we could have just said Orbulons planet has shorter years but oh well

the NES is the American version of the Japanese Famicom (the NES then became the standard console outside Japan) so there's no contradiction here

? Huh? I'm saying NES Golf is the same game as Famicom Golf, they just changed the manual to say it's Mario in the game, it's a localization error, like Sonic CDs English manual calling Amy "Princess Sally"
Hmm, does the 24/25 age refer to when his adventures began, or to his present age in 2005 when that was stated?

So the NES port of the game officially states you play as Mario. The Famicom and NES were still distinct consoles, so I'd consider the NES port a separate thing to the Famicom game. I could go as far as to say they both golf on the same course, but if I'm not including the Mii games despite Wuhu Island's appearance in MK8, I won't incude the Famicom game simply because they golf at the same location

Also I think MK Tour was briefly mentioned as a timeline discrepancy due to dates shown (cba to find the comment to reply to) but that game is established to have race seasons that take place continually over time, presumably taking place at the times those tracks released, so it doesn't have a single, definitive placement
It refers to DK Arcade specifically.
See that only happens on the real world Earth courses which is another reason why I said it has to be time dilation for that to work with Mario's timeline
The Famicom and NES are basically the same console they really shouldn't be considered different, it's like the Super Famicom and the SNES, it's just a different design and name, it's the same technology and game library

What only happens for real world courses? Also, there are Gregorian calendars on the Mushroom World, it would be unreasonable to do this if there was any time dilation
