The Dark Knight {Spoilers Abound}

Not that I really want Ade-whatever as Bane, but I don't think it's fair to call dibs, especially since this isn't the thread where we cast people.

Whoever casts him casts him.

Well, I was joking.

I was more pointing out what an awesome choice that actor is for Bane.

I haven't read through the old Dreamcasting round, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of my choices have already been used by someone else. It's definitely not something to get worked up about.

OK, Just saw TDK, as it has just come out in UK.

Sweet ****ing Jesus. This was the most awesome film in the history of ever. Actually it was so good, it needs a new word better than awesome to describe it. Awefanamazarilliant.

From the moment with the pencil trick, i was totally sold. Heath Ledger set the screen on fire with his performance.

I need repeat viewings to really sum up my views, but yeah, this film was ****ing awefanamazarilliant.

Too blown away...

Need time to think...

DRUNK on this movie...

NOT what I was expecting...

Best comic book movie ever, anyway. Suck it, Iron Man. Suck it. 8)

Thats the sound I make when I burp and fart at the same time. I think it also qualifies as a worthy description of the sense of relief immediately following such a display.

Nice...interested to see the Brits' and Europeans opinions of the movie. Really looking forward to Bass' review, which'll probably evolve into another epic manifesto.

I was SURE the classic UC Conservatives; Ice, Joe Kalicki and Bass would HATE it, but so far, Joe has proved me wrong, God love him.

It will be very interesting to hear what Ice and Bass have to say.

**** it, This is getting bumped up to 9/10. It deserves it. The second time erased most of my problems with the film...

Hell, I want to see it again tomorrow.

Finally saw it tonight (stupid week delay or whatever). Everything I say has probably said by every other person in here: it was perfect. The Joker was brilliant. I loved the Scarecrow and Mahone bits. Thought Gordon's sidekick was going to be Montoya. Thought Gordon was dead. Was sad. Was Rorschach. Oh yeah, no Watchmen trailer. Stupid. I think Two-Face was a bit messy, but it worked out okay. Great movie.

Now to catch up on the 234 posts in this thread.

Okay, I'm back. Read most of your ideas for sequels. Not sure about Catwoman, there's just something off. I really wish Two-Face had been saved for the third movie so we could have got so much more of him. This was The Joker's movie. He owned it. Though I definitely think Bane should be in the third, with The Riddler as a supporting villain.

Also, it would have been so cool at the end of the movie if we cut to Arkham and see Joker being escorted to a cell. He sees the Gordon press conference thing on TV and simply grins. Everything's going to plan...

The car crash is implied to kill Maroni as well, methinks. I don't know who the other two are.

I'd say one is probably the bartender. That would leave one more... possibly he was blamed for the cop at the hospital or whatever.

When Maroni is getting into the car where he runs into Dent, as Maroni looks around to see whether anyone is keeping an eye on him, you can see an arm shoot out right on the left side of the screen and drag one of his guys off screen, giving Dent the chance to take his place in the car. I think that's the last one.

It was a great movie, all the characters were in character (Heath and Jack's Jokers actually have a lot in common), there was nothing about it I didn't like, except the probably death of Dent, but I'm used to the villains dying at the end of movies, so it doesn't get points off for that.

They might as well give TDK the award for "Best Movie Ever" right now while they are ahead.
