Ahhh I wont be entering tournaments. I'm just after a cool game to play with my mates. I plan on having more than one venom on my team and black spider-man and carnage. I call it Team Venom

I just bought on ebay a starter set of this game seems very cool.

Infinity Challange Starter box

Original Heroclix starter box set, with extra figures from boosters

This model has never been played with, just removed from box to look at and then stored, even the dice and counters are still wrapped.

The box is a little battered from storage, but all the figures are as new.

Is this a good starter pack?

Its the Starter Set. Gives you a good mix of bigger name figures with some generics...though I thought Spider-Man would be included in that...Wolverine too, I could've sworn they were included in the starter set to give it more appeal to casual fans.

Anyway, just email the guy and make sure the rules, game map, dice, etc are included, as those all came with the Starter set and you'll need those to play.

They did. Funny enough, they made him before the 616 Goblin. Ultimate GG appeared in the set "Xplosion", which came out in 2003, and the 616 version was made in last year's "Fantastic Forces". This was also the case with Ultimate Rhino and Electro. Ultimate Rhino appeared in "Critical Mass", also out in 2003, and Ultimate Electro in "Ultimates" in 2004. The 616 versions of both are only now being made in "Sinister".

You can use them all together. Retirement of figures only applies to official tournaments, but independant play (at home with friends, etc) depends on your own preferences. Most people play games with retired figures, long as its not a tourney.

Actually, the Kraven in "Sinister" is just a remake of the 616 version, though it could be argued it could represent both versions (Ultimate and 616).

Me and my friend set up. We used the indoor mall map. Annd picked our teams. I killed nearly all of his team as hulk0 ) the one person he had left who killed hulk was then finished off by my captain america..

Now i'm not 100% sure we played correctly but did check rule book ect.... It was fun

LOL the Critical Mass Venom rookie is the venom I won on ebay. They only had 3 venoms on ebay uk. Critical Mass Venom rookie , experienced and vet. I chose rookie as it was ending the soonest and also if i get rookies I can get more on my team.

the teams my friend i picked with my figures were :

My team = Hulk , Captain America , Shield Agent , Shield Medic , Blade.

I'm trying to get him to get his starter pack. He wants the one woleverine and Spider-man in it. It was fun setting up the map , objects ect... for the first time.

When my venom figure comes if my friend dose not have his own starter pack he'll get my hulk on his team (we took turns picking like you do when choosing a football team at school) because my first pick will be Venom LOL

I saw that the new ones have cards and stuff and if i buy new ones I'll ignore the cards as i'll have to play with old rules.

My venom came and I have the perfect team (when against rookies like me lol)

Venom , Hulk and captain america. My hulk has never been beat so far I have won

2 against my friend and 1 against my brother. Hulk kicks *** and soooo cannot be beat. When he reaches a certin click he has a grey on sheild that means he can not take damage unless it's over two clicks. My friend and brothers teams have ones that can only do 1-2 clicks :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ultimate Cap does kick some major butt, for sure. But Ultimate Thor is my Superman & Amazo killer.

My local gaming store has tournaments every weekend.

This weekend our tournament is 400 points, no characters can have range or hypersonic speed. Kingdom Come Wonderwoman and Xorn with a bunch of feats on them. KICK A$$!!! I should win.

Cool. It didn't mention that in my instruction booklet I got. Is that a rule from the newest ones as I'm playing original?

If not it's still cool most of their rolls were bad e.g 1+1
