Ah, good, I'm not the only one. This is not Ultimates 1-2, but it's not Ultimates 3 either. I'd actually put it in the "mediocre" category, even though some lines are off, the majority of the deaths serve little purpose, Reed being an idiot, and the story just being characters coming across one random development in a little three-page scene and then shifting off to another character for their own three-page scene and so on.
Also, it really sucks to be Wasp in any universe now.

Well, I must say- sounds boring. She was a good character, but I guess it's not really the same as if this had directly followed Ultimates 2.
It's been long enough between now and then that this isn't even the same Universe. It's Loeb's wonderful ACTION BLOCKBUSTER BAM WOW machine, the same process that brought us such deep-thought masterpieces as HULK, Ultimates 3, and Heroes.
Maybe on its own, Ultimatum is fine. But I can't separate it from the fact that these are characters I cared about being tossed to the side like they're nothing but sources of splash pages and cheap shocks.
