CBR previews issue #1.

Nick Fury has assembled the next generation of Marvel super heroes—the sons and daughters of super villains—to fight the new order that Dark Reign has brought to the Marvel Universe! Secret Warriors #1, written by award winning scribe Brian Michael Bendis & rising star Jonathan Hickman and featuring the lush art of Marvel Young Gun artist Stefano Caselli, presents Fury's battle to not only train the next generation of heroes—but to also defeat what may be the greatest threat he's ever faced! You've seen the Warriors come together in the pages of Mighty Avengers and you've seen them push back the Skrull armada Secret Invasion—but what could rock their world even more? If that's not enough, in addition to the eye-popping cover by Jimmy Cheung, Secret Warriors #1 also features the parents of these heroes on a variant cover by a top secret artist!

Is Harry in this? Seems the logical step since the cured him of the death and all.

but they aren't all the children of super-villains, Hellfire (i think that's his name) is the grandson of phantom rider. Actually, I'd kind of like them to explain the connection between phantom rider (originally called ghost rider) and ghost rider. B/c they imply there is (just by the powers he has and the name) but as far as i know there has never been a conection in the comics (only in the movie).

But I'm not a big ghost rider buff, so I may be wrong.

Oh man, it returns! for prepubescent gods!

also speaking of HoH, does anybody think that Osborn's assistant Victoria Hand might be, the Tarantula from the last volume of HoH?

I'm confused. Is the Secret Warriors back-up story that's been at the end of a lot of comics these past few months, are those pages IN the Secret Warriors series, or are they only pages that'll be seen in the backs of these other issues?

I believe it's just a back-up story in the issues it's appearing in.

Is this book at least half as awesome as Jonathan Hickman's The Nightly News? Because really his name is the only reason I'm interested.

Have they talked about where Fury's been between Secret War and Secret Invasion? Or will we see glimpses of that in this series?

There was an issue or two of Mighty (i think) Avengers that showed Fury in hiding, finding out about the Skrulls, warning Maria Hill, and then contacting Quake and finding the new warriors and training them. He's also been in constant contact with Winter Soldier and Sharon Carter in Captain America. That has probably kept him busy.
