Avengers vs X-Men (Spoilers)

I'm still waiting for the crossover that trumps Secret Wars.

Except nothing really happened in Secret Wars. The whole thing was just battles so they could sell toys. It literally ends with Molecule Man taking Denver back to earth with the bad guys and Reed Richards figuring out how to reverse the teleporter that brought them there and taking the heroes home.

The only really cool parts of the story are Doom getting the Beyonder's powers and the Symbiote costume.

And the arc of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon that did a better job.

Clearly Marvel learned their lesson. You have all the fights happen in a spin-off series so you can stuff more nonsense into the core mini. Brilliant!

I actually thought #3 was better written than the first 2 issues, especially as far as dialogue goes. Unfortunately it was spoiled by JRJR's art.

Marvel announced there will be another Infinity comic written by Mark Waid released with issue #6. It will be $1.99 (the first one was $0.99).

Agreed. But then, it wouldn't take much.

I'm stunned that Jason Aaron could write something as bad as issue 2.

Jason Aaron did great with his issue and JrJr is doing wonderful work. I do agree, however, that #3 has been the best issue so far.

Marvel just announced an Avengers vs. X-Men sequel called X-Men vs. Avengers.

Groundbreaking. It's already so good that they are justified in charging $6.99 per issue.

I'm missing something. Maybe it was covered in one of the crossovers.

What reasoning could the X-Men possibly have for thinking the Phoenix will bring back mutants? The Phoenix "burns away what doesn't work" ( I think that is the line from New X-Men). It doesn't recreate things. It dies and is reborn itself but it doesn't do that for anything else. It doesn't bring things to life. The last time they faced it it snuffed out an entire star system. It's not noble and is not now nor has it ever hinted it would help anyone. There is nothing to suggest that it would ever do what they think it will.

I imagine it has something to do with Hopes power set, She sparked the 5 lights and blah blah blah

with the phoenix force augmenting her maybe they think she could spark many more

thats just a blind guess tho

Wolverine was wearing a polar bear in Antarctica. A polar bear. In Antarctica.

This was a comic written by Jonathan Hickman. Avengers vs. X-Men is so dumb.

I thought Hickman's issue was a far sight better than what came before, but it's still not good.

And yeah, second Gemini's thought. Hope is supposed to be the mutant messiah and her power set reignites latent mutant powers. Figure they assume juicing her with cosmic power will amplify that.
