I think its stupid that they use deaths as selling points to a comic, for shock value

Deaths as selling points are lame, they should have meaning, and a reason behind it. A stupid death, to sell some books, crap.

A death, for it to be important, should really come out of the blue. I hate forecasted deaths, for they never deliver anything good storywise, cause you know its coming.
Still good enough for me, cuz I'm all like, "Oh no! Who's it gonna be! Who? Who?! WHO?!!?".

:D

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoliers)

I'm not saying Vauhgn is, I'm saying MARVEL is

They seem to be doing with every book lately

It's friggin annoying

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoliers)

Let me put it this way

If you read the issue, without knowing one of them was going to die, wouldn't you be more like

"WHAT THE ****! HOLY ****!"

Instead, your going to read the issue, knowing one of them is going to die, and it's not going to have the same impact. Instead, you'll be

"Damn, I thought it was going to be her."

or

"Yeah, I knew she was dieing."

Niether reaction is going to have the same Oomph as the if you didn't know

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoliers)

You're right, it's not. Doesn't mean it still won't have a "OMG! No ****ING WAY" reaction.

I agree with you completely.

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoliers)

Absolutely true. Just happened to me in the recent BRPD: The Black Flame mini where they killed off a character.

To its logical extreme, imagine my reaction when I found out Gotham Central was cancelled as I was picking it up expecting it to be going on for years to come.

Sniff.

Igonrance is bliss.

...

But then, why do we seek to acquire knowledge? :sure:

I just noticed that we are 28 pages in....and "SPOILERS" is spelled wrong.

I'm like the only mod who does stuff around here.
