Slasherverse - Viewing/Reading Order

Have you seen this?

I guess you've already seen it. But I post it just to be sure.

I see Creepshow there, but not the whole franchise which is.... let just say interesting I mean:

Creepshow (1982)
Tales from the Darkside (1983-1988)
Creepshow 2 (1987)
Monsters (1988-1991)
Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (1990)
Creepshow 3 (2006)
Creepshow: RAW (2008)
Creepshow (2019-present)

yeah... rights issues were here a problem too that is why Tales of the Darkside is called that and not Creepshow and Monsters is a spin-off follow up to TotD

Crossover Notes
Necronomicon/Kandarian Dagger
A version of Leatherface
A version of Victor Crowley
Events of Shocker occurred

For simplicity, we'll say it's a multiversal duplicate of those events/characters in a detailed timeline.

Also, Blumhouse are making the Dead by Daylight movie. Wouldn't it be interesting if Michael Myers appeared (specifically, the 2018 Trilogy version)? Perhaps even Freddy since Blumhouse are rumoured to be making a Nightmare sequel (don't expect much on that, btw). James Wan is also behind Saw, so there's even more potential. Just a thought. The game is hugely popular because of the different IPs, so I can't imagine it didn't at least occur to them.

I gotta say, the Hellraiser timeline is pretty interesting to me when you lay out all the films in a timeline. Literally every film after IV is a prequel technically.

1796 - Hellraiser IV: Bloodline (Flashbacks)
1921 - Hellbound: Hellraiser II (Flashbacks)
1987 - Hellraiser (1987)
1987 - Hellbound: Hellraiser II
1992 - Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth
1996 - Hellraiser IV: Bloodline (Flashbacks)
2000 - Hellraiser: Inferno [Hell]
2002 - Hellraiser: Hellseeker [Hell]
2003 - Hellraiser: Hellworld (Flashbacks)
2005 - Hellraiser: Deader
2005 - Hellraiser: Hellworld
2010 - Hellraiser: Revelations (Flashbacks)
2011 - Hellraiser: Revelations
2016 - Hellraiser (2022) (Flashbacks)
2018 - Hellraiser: Judgment
2022 - Hellraiser (2022)
???? - Dead by Daylight (The Cenobite Lore)
???? - Dead by Daylight: Hellraiser: Official Trailer [Entity's Realm]
2127 - Hellraiser IV: Bloodline

2018 - Elliot Spencer is de-powered by God.
2022 - Reboot featuring new female Hellpriest.
2127 - Elliot Spencer is the current Hellpriest.

I guess Spencer became Pinhead again between 2022 and 2127. Not a big deal, it happened in the comics.

Dead by Daylight appears to be canonical, since Pinhead wasn't brought into the Realm. He came because someone opened the Lement Configuration. His "mori" (kill) is him transporting a victim to the Labyrinth - quite literally exchanging one hell for another. In other words, he can come and go as he pleases. Voiced by Doug Bradley no less. Not all DBD crossovers are canon to their main universes, by the way. It depends on the lore. Alien, for example, diverges from the AVP timeline in 2122.

Hellraiser (Boom! Comics) is set in the same continuity as Hellraiser (Epic Comics) due to the Harrowers appearing in both series. Epic Comics has a different version of Philip LeMarchand than the movies (that version is known as LeMarchant).

Essentially, the creator of the box in the comic universe is a mass murderer who uses human fat and bone to create his boxes, while in the films, he was a very different guy and not a killer.

In the comic universe, Hellraiser 1-3 seems to be canon. Also, it's in-continuity with 1990s Nightbreed and Henry D'Amour from The Last Illusion and Lord of Illusions is a main character.

So, there's book canon, film canon (1-11), and comic canon (1-3, Nightbreed).

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Video Game) takes place in April (I believe?) the same year as the first film. That's all the timeline information on that. There's no really story since it's an online game only. Only the text crawl, locations, and characters are canon.

Speaking of, we have a timeline for the reboot series but not for the Original Timeline or 3D timeline.

Original Timeline
1972 - Jason vs Leatherface #1-3
1973 - Petals (?)
1973 - The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (?)
1973 - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
1986 - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Part 2
1991 - Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III
1996 - Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
2020 - Texas Chainsaw Massacre

3D Timeline
1965 - Leatherface
1973 - Petals (?)
1973 - The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (?)
1973 - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
2012 - Texas Chainsaw 3D

To be honest, I think the 3D timeline could be incorporated into the already messy original timeline if we assume Jed/Bubba pulled Cook out of the house fire and his gravestone is because they thought he died, and the Sawyer Family House was rebuilt prior to the 2022 film. Doesn't hurt when Grandpa literally dies and comes back to life in the original timeline and Bubba survives a direct chainsaw to the chest and escapes an explosion, so there's something weird going on with the Sawyer Family, and I ain't talking about inbreeding. :p The Illuminati did it! (Unironically - they're actually canon)

No, but really, three timelines. Original, Reboot, 3D. Another example of a universe where the same events happened (1973) but things before and after are different. That's the official state of things, even though many think each original timeline sequel is separate from one another. Just ignore the text crawls as in-universe rumours a you're fine. Stretch is literally in the third film.

As for Scream, could it not be that the other films (exactly like Scream/Stab) exist both as real events and as based films?

Actually, however, they never refer to them as real events so at this point I would say no, but tell me what you think

So, either the View Askewniverse is Earth-1/Earth-Prime or there's multiverse variants of Jay and Bob in that reality.

Non-Askewniverse media connected to it, in my opinion, would be:
-Zack and Miri Make a Porno should probably be considered canon.
-I would say Scream could be canon to the View Askewniverse if you wanted, but multiverse variants are possible.
-The True North Trilogy was going to be canon but Jay and Bob have been removed from the third installment. EDIT: Still canon because of a crossover character.
-The Arrowverse? Haha, I hope not.

There is a free game that apparently at the end reveals it to be a demo/prequel of the video game.

Having played Left 4 Dead, I'd probably say that Bill is taken by the Entity during The Sacrifice campaign, which sees one of the survivors sacrifice themselves to allow the other three to escape. Canonically, Bill is the one who sacrifices himself to save the other three, as confirmed in the tie-in comic and the appearance of his corpse in the final chapter for The Passing campaign in Left 4 Dead 2 (which takes place following The Sacrifice).

Furthermore, memorial walls that can be found suggest that the Left 4 Dead games occur sometime in October 2009.
Hope this info helps.
